I was greeted very warmly which really sets the tone for the stay. I’m glad that there was a list of directions on how to work the washing/drying machine and dishwasher. I did some much needed laundry. The studio was spotless and new. It felt like I was staying in my own apartment. It was about a 45 min drive to Mt. Cook, but I enjoyed the drive.

I love this place, I've stayed there previously and will stay again. The hosts are excellent, both friendly and helpful. The cottage is a great place to base from, is quiet, yet not too far from town if you need anything.

We stayed there one night to break the long trip from Queenstown to Christchurch. It was a very comfortable place and it was very close to restaurants in the town center. The house would also be a great place for a longer stay and for a larger group, since it had three bedrooms, two baths (one full and one partial), a nice living and dining area, and a well appointed kitchen. The grocery store was close by too.

    My wife and I really cannot rave about this retreat enough.

    My wife and I really cannot rave about this retreat enough. The villas are exceptionally appointed and spacious. The environment is picturesque, tranquil and peaceful. The food provided in the villas and the meals cooked by the chef are truly delicious and guests individual tastes are catered for. The staff are very welcoming and friendly whilst ensuring that privacy is a key component of the experience. The villas could not be cleaner or more tastefully presented. We doubt anyone could be disappointed in their stay at this retreat.
