The landscape is beautiful, calming and peaceful with the pond and sea in the background adding to tranquillity and restfulness especially when healing from losing loved ones. Breakfast was tasty, appealing to the eyes and healthy. The traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony was the highlight of our experience. Thank you all at Dear Villa Resort with special thanks to Mr Gouw.

The apartment was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding was clearly high quality, so we had a great nights sleep. The cooking facilitates are more expensive than the pictures shown & breakfast was great, our host supplied yogurt, cereals, fruit, bread & butter, tea coffee and hot chocolate. The host gave us some useful information about the area and where to go, places to eat and visit. She was lovely. We have traveled all over NZ and stayed in lots of types of accommodation, this was a bargain and we have no hesitation in recommending it.

Loved Boatsheds on the Bay. Lovely area and the sheds were beautiful both inside and out. The premises were so nice and it was just a great place to relax and enjoy. We only stayed one night but we wished we would have stayed longer. Because we wanted to go to a couple of wineries, it was very easy to get a taxi.

The location was perfect - close to the ferry and in Ostend which had everything we needed.. the hotel arranged a taxi to the Vinyard we had booked and we also visited the RSA over the road for drinks and food and everyone was so welcoming and friendly.. we would definately book those accomodation again

    A beautiful spot to relax, walk and explore.

    A beautiful spot to relax, walk and explore. Maraetai is a great place to either stay and relax or use as a base for further exploration of the area. Great walks. Swimming all year round with local jeennocean swimmers. Safe beach. Cafes on the waterfront.

    Lovely place to relax and unwind to enjoy the water, the beach and the restaurants. The Indian restaurant there is absolutely delicious, and the service was really good too. Great walking tracks also.
