GermanyAbsolutely stunning location, awesome views all around thanks to huge windows in every direction plus a 270° wrap-aroung-porch. This "humble abode" is luxuriously spacious and the whole place got very good vibes. The infos prepared by Candace, our hostess included not only things to do and the weather but also tide-times, stars visible during our stay and sunrise / sunset. I would definitely stay there again, but would try to stay longer, which I recommend to everyone. Three days is the minimum... The pantry and fridge were so well stocked that we didn't need to go grocery shopping. Did I mention the washing machine (lots of washing powder provided too) and the dryer?

New ZealandOur hostess was lovely and there to greet us on arrival. The location is quiet, and the comfy beds resulted in a good night's sleep for all.
The kitchen was well equipped so we could cater easily for ourselves.
As a bonus, the artwork from the hostess is very pleasing to the eye.
It's an older property that has been redecorated with care, so overall, it is a pleasant place to stop a while.

The small kitchen is very well appointed and the room is spacious and private with a deck overlooking the inlet. The bathroom is wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Opononi and Omapere are two small seaside towns within a 5km stretch of the west coast of Northland, near the mouth of the Hokianga harbour. The scenery is stunning, but the accommodation and eating options are fairly limited.

I've used this accomodation many times.
I've used this accomodation many times. It's easy to book and is at a reasonable price. I know you need to book early or in advance IN THE HOLIDAYS and when events are on. I booked online from the opononi Pub once. I was lucky to get a room that was available at the time. That's why booking on line is just as good as ringing up. Ownership is changing in July I hope the new owners can maintain the previous owners standards. Always willing to support the accommodation.

We drove to the carpark & walked out to the Point.
We drove to the carpark & walked out to the Point. Lovely views. Spectacular Sand dunes. It was a stop over of 2 days so we could go & play GOLF. RAWENE. Easy to get around Opononi. We had 1 dinner at night at Sands Hotel. Very nice . Awesome staff. Went & had a meal & drink at Opononi Hotel. Staff lovely & helpful.

Rugged, natural, quiet & uncluttered beauty on the west coast.
You don’t go to Opononi/Omapere to shop, its the place to go when you want to find peace, harmony & spirituality.
If you want to get away to relax… this is the place to go!

Great spot, great views of the harbour where ever you stay.
Great spot, great views of the harbour where ever you stay. Nice restaurants, cafes and bars. Has a great little Four Square for shopping. Nearby is a great drive through the Waipoua Forest, visit the great Kauri tree Tane Mahuta - Tane Mahuta is the guardian of the forest and birds.

We stayed on the basis of self catering. What we loved about the property was that it exceeded our expectations. The position is wonderful with immediate access to the beach. Whilst there are very few facilities for us in this location (it didn’t matter as that’s why we chose to stay there) there was a hotel where we ate it and the two nights we were there and that was extremely good. There was a local shop where we go to get supplies. On a five week trip to New Zealand, this was one of the highlights!

We really liked the location of this accommodation. Opposite a beach. Location was quiet at night. Enjoyed hanging out on the balcony. Bathroom was also big and modern. Bed was comfortable. In addition to the hotel, there are some nearby shops. Coastal walking track from signal station a short drive away.

Perfect location as it’s only a short walk to the local shops. Across the road from Opononi Beach. I enjoyed sitting outside the room all evening as the sun went down.
