A magical place. At night, they even provide mattresses you can take outside to lie under the stars – such a beautiful experience. The staff were amazing – always smiling and kind. We had a great dinner, thoughtfully wrapped in foil to keep any sand out of our plates.

Great location out in the desert. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Accommodation was really nice, being able to sit on the balcony was really peaceful with great views. Food was also very good. The early evening walk in the desert (which is free) meant being able to see a fantastic desert sunset. Also did the trip to an authentic bedouin camp on the second day which was really interesting and gave a great insight into the culture. Would highly recommend a stay here at royal desert camp.

Nice camp and we did some activities and we had the camp owner Issa himself accompany us with the sunset from the top of the sand and we enjoyed driving Issa he was cooperative with us and a very nice person I recommend visiting the camp and doing the activities there and we saw the little camels and thank you

It was very aesthetic, they paid attention for every detail. Abdullah was very nice and picked us up and we had great time during the night with the other guests. Samir was also very friendly and made us Tee and coffee. We sat by the fire till late night and watched the sky. The beds were very comfortable!! You have your own bathroom near the tent. Breakfast and dinner were provided to if you want. I would totally recommend it.

It is a new place, well maintained and very clean. They offer 2 types of accommodation, Lunar Domes and conventional. I was in the conventional ( cheapest). In the conventional you have toilet, nice shower, hot water, electricity 24/7, a good quality mini frigo, water kettle and a good quality air conditionner working also 24/7 ( a must in the desert). It is well managed. The camp offers tours as options. I did not have a car so I took the Wadi Bani Khalid Mountain Oasis tour. Very professionnal. Nice oasis in scenic mountains. You can walk on dunes from the camp. The camp have many outside lights and spotlights, that makes star observation difficult. WiFi available in the reception building 24h. The units are very well built with marble tile floors and counter. The camp offers meals and transportation. I suggest you bring some food and water, you are in the middle of nowhere. I suggest you spent 2 nights in order to have a full day on the site. The camp is 6 km in the desert. You access it from the town of Bidiyah. So you d'ont have to ride shaky hours to reach the camp. The road is sand, better to have a 4x4 or use transportation ($) offered by the camp.
