Amazing lodge! You really experience the the jungle fully here. They have a good variety of activities to choose from and our allocated guide, Alan, was the best. We saw many animals, birds, insects and spiders. The staff were very friendly. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend this lodge.

Amazon Planet is a true ecolodge within a natural protected area surrounded by primary original rainforest and wild animals in their natural habitat.

A really lovely, peaceful place to stay, surrounded by the sounds of nature, with all the little whooping, scratching, hooting critters that abound. Nicholas, the host, was so helpful in sorting us out with various things, including day trips. It is quite a way from town so organise your food and drinks before you arrive, and don't be fooled by the distance on the map - the real distance is further as you bounce around swerving round potholes. Some taxis might not make the journey depending on the season. Here be dragons....

This lodge is incredibly lovely and peaceful, beautifully immersed in the Amazonia forest facing the Tambopata River. Not far from Puerto Maldonado, but you feel like lost in the deep of the forest. The rooms are huge and perfect, with an incredibile view on the river. All the meals are made with love by the kind Pierina and are truly delicious. The excursions are marvelous: we enjoyed the night walking in the forest, the kayak trip on the river, the cayman ‘buscada’ and the tour to Sandoval Lake. The staff is so caring and sweet - a special thanks to Ciro and Jaime! Our Amazonian visit could haven’t been better than here! Recommended by heart.

Enai is located in the forest, on the shore of the Madre de Dios River, 15 minutes from the city of Puerto Maldonado. Enai has a restaurant, outdoor pool, bar and garden.

One of the best hotels I've stayed. Its the perfect combination between nature and all the comodities you might want - comfortable beds, very good and local food, great wifi service and a really nice pool. The staff is also so caring and thoughtfull.

Located in Puerto Maldonado, Libélula Hotel provides a shared lounge. Private parking is available on site. Guest rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels.

2 minutes walk from the main plaza and all the tour offices. 5 mins walk from the Cacao Center. Absolutely clean rooms and bathrooms (rare in budget hotels in Peru!). The a/c is really welcome in Puerto as the humidity is debilitating. Friendly staff, several of whom speak English. Focus on sustainability. Huge TVs in the rooms with what looks like a cable box connected, though I didn't try mine. Strong, hot showers and good drainage. Comfortable beds and pillows. I stayed in 3 different rooms on different stays, and it seems they are adding more little amenities, like de-humidifier machine, towel racks in the bathroom, etc room by room. The lower floor rooms have them, but the top floor doesn't yet. I would still choose this hotel over any other in Puerto.
