Lovely new hotel in an old flour mill, lots of attention to detail and keeping the fabric and workings intact and on show mixed with vintage and stylish modern items and furniture . There’s a restaurant and counters round the kitchen where you can interact with the chefs who mainly cook with wood fire . Also a pool and a sauna and nice sunbathing area . We were the first guests and the lovely staff were eager to make sure we had a lovely time . The hotel is situated on the edge of a sleepy old school Portuguese town so entering feels like stepping into another world

More of a village than a town with quirky streets. Very well located for touring this part of the Alentejo region; 25 miles from Evora and similar distance from Beja. Visit the dam near Alqueva for fabulous views of the Barragem de Alqueva.

Lovely village with lots of monuments, friendly people, local cafes and restaurants with good food, better to visit on a weekday when all stores are open and it's more lively but nice and quiet for a weekend.

a delightful village in a calm environment- for a break it was wonderful. we overnighted there en route to the central region of Portugal. For that it was an easy stop. We could have spent a few more days there, relaxing, especially if it had not been lockdown

Fabulous, historic castle hotel. Large, comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished rooms. Huge and comfortable bed. Fabulous pool and beautiful garden, we also found extra lounges and a games room too. Really nice, traditional town. Friendly reception staff. Excellent breakfast. It's really worth staying here.

. Quiet location but not far from Alvito, Viana or Vila Nova da Baronia where you can find several restaurants. . Host and hostess are very friendly without being intrusive. . Nice breakfast.
