We walked into this property and were instantly bowled over - this is undoubtedly one of the prettiest places we've stayed in Portugal. One wall is built into the polished rockface - which has subdued lighting set into it. We were awestruck with the attention to detail that makes Pedra Oliveira so magical. Everything is stunning to look at, including the private garden where we sat for an hour or two in the sunshine. There was a kettle and a fridge - always a bonus for hikers like us. The hosts Philippe and Emilia live in the property behind the guest accommodation and were very welcoming and friendly. We were hiking but there is private parking if you arrive by car.

Absolutely everything! From the super friendly welcome to the relaxing sauna, steam room and pool, divine dinner and scrumptious breakfast, everything was perfect. Wish we could have stayed an extra night! Not far off the Camino!

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The host was amazing, very welcoming and helpful. She gave me fruit and snacks on arrival. It’s a bit off the Camino but worth the detour as it’s easy to get back on the path in the morning. Would definitely recommend.

Such an incredible place with lovely hosts. Completely gorgeous and amazing space with so many surprises. We were totally impressed by this Amazon house.
