Everything about this hotel was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The host was amazing, very welcoming and helpful. She gave me fruit and snacks on arrival. It’s a bit off the Camino but worth the detour as it’s easy to get back on the path in the morning. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was amazing. Beautiful place and Maria and the young boy were so helpful. Love the place and the little conversation we had. The property is gated so for rented car amazing so you not worry. The place is shared place but clean and beautiful.

We walked into this property and were instantly bowled over - this is undoubtedly one of the prettiest places we've stayed in Portugal. One wall is built into the polished rockface - which has subdued lighting set into it. We were awestruck with the attention to detail that makes Pedra Oliveira so magical. Everything is stunning to look at, including the private garden where we sat for an hour or two in the sunshine. There was a kettle and a fridge - always a bonus for hikers like us. The hosts Philippe and Emilia live in the property behind the guest accommodation and were very welcoming and friendly. We were hiking but there is private parking if you arrive by car.

This is such a lovely small town to visit.

This is such a lovely small town to visit. It has everything you need for a quiet break. There is a great museum in the village and an amazing Roman archaeological site a 10 minute drive away, Conimbriga. We loved eating in the small cafes on the square.

The house met our expectations and is exactly as pictured: a new home with comfortable furnishings and a swimming pool overlooking an olive grove. It's located a reasonable distance from Coimbra (about 15 minutes by car), and the hosts make sure you have a comfortable stay.

A visit to Conimbriga is a must.

A visit to Conimbriga is a must. A wonderful Roman city with incredible mosaics. You can also combine it with a visit to Poros, allowing children (and adults alike) to learn about the Roman world in an educational way.

Condeixa-a-Nova is located next to Conimbriga, a town with very well-preserved Roman buildings that is well worth a visit. It is also very close to Coimbra, a very interesting city. A visit to the University of Coimbra and its Library is a must.
