SENSI is an incredibly beautiful property and I can only recommend it to anyone visiting São Miguel. We had arrived much earlier before the check-in time (around 10 am) and were given the room without having to wait. We also got a free upgrade, which was a beautiful surprise for us since the room we got was utterly amazing: a terrace overlooking the green field with cows and the ocean, fantastic bathroom with a ceiling window (never seen anything like that), huge comfortable bed, many possibilities for dim lights and beautiful aromas everywhere. The interior design of the room as well as the entire hotel is top level. The spa area is rather intimate, yet we only saw one other couple there once. The breakfast was amazing as well with a variety of fruits and cheeses, and a possibility to order from the menu. We also had dinner at the restaurant once, it was delicious and well worth the price (which I'd say is just slightly above the average). We were in Sāo Miguel for 4 nights and I wanted to book hotels in different parts of the island. So we stayed at SENSI for 2 nights, at a top rated hotel in Furnas for a night and then at another top rated hotel near Ponta Delgada (won't mention the names, but these are the ones you find in all those "best hotels in Azores" lists). SENSI was the one we loved the most, 100%.

Nice house, excellent communication, nice area. Close to Cetes Cidades and Ponta Delgades. And Very close to Feraria, the warm natural pool in the sea! We liked it a lot! Very friendly owner, we had a very good time at the house and at Sao Miguel, calm neighbourhood but nearby to the hotspots, we had a very good sleep.

If you're looking for somewhere quiet, then Várzea is the place for you! It was so peaceful. I stayed in the garden suite which was so luxurious and comfortable - I really loved it. I wish I had booked more than 1 night.

We had the best stay at villa Anna Splendid. It exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Alexey and Anna made us feel completely at home. They were warm, friendly, and always available if we needed anything — thanks to them, we never went without a single thing. The villa is gorgeous inside and out. We saw the best sunsets of our lives from there. The facilities were great: the infinity pool was lovely, the kitchen had everything we needed (and more), and the private sauna was such a treat. It was a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Perfect place to unwind.

Our stay was truly wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail in every corner is evident. The hot tub is a great way to unwind the day, breakfast was delicious. Would love to return one day, highly recommend.

This room was just a dream. The room has everything you need in a charming house kept with original features … and a great bath! The area is quiet with good parking, although you can have a nice stroll around the village stepping out of the house. Also, the staff was there to welcome us at our arrival which is more and more rare but still very appreciated. Self checkin also available.

Ginetes is a small town with limited resources for visitors,...

Ginetes is a small town with limited resources for visitors, other than a market maybe, and a church. It isn't particularly attractive and requires a car to get to from the hotel. This is a peaceful boutique hotel in a beautiful and remote setting. However, it is right off the main road traveling to the southwest of the island. It was a very easy drive, around 20-25 minutes, from the airport and with very little traffic, as it is going away from Punta Delgada. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the west coast and also Sete Cidades. There is no place to eat close to the hotel, but its dining room has exceptional food. Although the ocean is within view of the hotel, you can not walk to it. In fact, I did not find any good walking travels near the hotel.
