Great place to spend some time in a peaceful and comfortable house with swimming pool. Very well equipped incl. 6 bathrooms. The host was very nice and gave us several recommendations regarding where to eat and where to go. Good location close to many interesting places (incl. UNESCO heritage sites) like Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaca, Fatima, Santarem, Nazare. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and to green areas.

The location was central in a small town famous for its horses. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Everything about the property was superb. Our room was comfortable and quiet and we slept so well. Breakfast was good and the lovely Portuguese woman who served us was very kind and efficient. We don’t speak Portuguese and she didn’t speak English but we got on just fine with google translate. The courtyard garden was charming and full of colour. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful place, it is a working menage so if you like horses, and kids learning to ride you'ĺl love it. Cleaning was very good also the room with shower etc. Fridge a bit small and wanky door but for the rest perfect.

A very beautiful area with picturesque details closely linked to horse culture and the Ribatejo region in general. Beautiful buildings. Golegã is small but well-organized; it seems like you have everything you need to spend a few days without even needing a car! It has charming corners like the Carlos Relvas house museum and other more typical buildings.

We booked for two nights but only stayed one.

We booked for two nights but only stayed one. Everything has to be done by car. Finding a restaurant was difficult, and the accommodation didn't provide a list of suggestions. The apartment is very dark. We will avoid Golega on our next trip.

A timeless atmosphere in this typical town, entirely oriented towards horses, the main square is a sand arena. The pizzeria on the outskirts of town is run by a man who speaks fluent French and will tell you all about it!

Francisco our host was beyond helpful leading up to our stay. I was doing the Camino walk and he even offered to give me a ride into Golega for the last 5km of my walk. I did politely decline. He also offered a taxi service for my mother who was coming in by train. He greeted us with the friendliest of welcomes and even changed our room free of charge.

Fabulous place to stay on the Camino. Spacious double bedroom with full use of bathroom, kitchen, living room and back yard. Perfectly located near the town-centre, the supermarket, and on the old Camino route out of Golegã. Owner easy to deal with and very helpful when we left some items behind.
