We loved this city.
We loved this city. It’s not tourist-packed town and it’s a perfect size, with lovely parks and nice shops and restaurants. People better are kind. That will help you with any language barriers if you’re patient. We enjoyed a nice ramen dinner nearby. Prices are reasonable in the city. Leiria doesn't have much to offer, it is a cute city but without much to do. The castle is quaint, but there are more impressive castles in Portugal. The center looks a little empty and abandoned, however for being a smaller city you can find good food for a reasonable price. Leiria is a very beautiful relaxing town easy to get from Lisbon by bus. Nice restaurants and an interesting castle with more than just half broken down walls. Leiria was a surprise.
Leiria was a surprise. This small town had a lot going on: cultural events, a castle, good restaurants. It was very international and felt like a hidden gem. I walked around everywhere, and the food was consistently good wherever I went. It was a very interesting experience. The beds are super comfortable and spacious. Same as the bathrooms. We had all we needed and a very big kitchen. The hosts were attentive and accommodated our request for an iron. I would definitely recommend this nice house for your stay at Leiria.
