Our host was kind and generous with her time answering our many questions. She bakes the most delicious cakes and serves a wonderful cup of coffee in a charming old world setting. The converted schist house has all the modern conveniences and a cosy atmosphere, in a beautiful setting. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the local host who popped in with it also runs the Solar dos Pachecos restaurant, which I can recommend for local cuisine.
