Lovely big comfy bed, great bathroom, bath robes, enormous flat screen TV, minifridge/bar, delicious breakfast with lots of choice, restaurant also great for snacks & meals...the food was delicius! We requested a kettle that was provided without any bother. Nice wee balcony and furniture outside to relax. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very close to Busstop.

Lovely spacious, clean and well- appointed property. The best we had in Madeira. Stunning views and balcony with chairs and tables a bonus. Out of the busy area which we loved. Nice and airy- you could open all the windows and let fresh air in and have shutters open or closed. Lovely friendly owners and beautiful veg garden. Sheet as well as duvet to sleep under - everywhere else we had to take duvet out of cover as it was too hot to sleep. Parking for car off-road

Some good hiking nearby.

Some good hiking nearby. It is of course pretty steep even on the roads. We visited for the swimming but, it being December and just after a storm, the pools were closed. Our stay was for 5 days and we kept busy but the place is quiet in December. The amount of car parking implies the place is busy with day trippers when the weather is warmer - and the pools are open.

The volcanic pools were closed due to high waves, We learnt at the reception that the best time to enjoy using them is May-October. Aquarium is fine but rather small. We've tried Rooftop Restaurant - great food but not the cheapest in the world. The Beerhouse is a great place in good weather. With rain you are forced to stay inside. Porto Moniz is small with the volcanic pools its main attraction.

A good place to staying for some days (4-5) and to travel around. Excellent house with all you need - if you want to cook some food/breakfast…, wash the clothes, good supermarket is just a few minutes walking, natural sweeping pools is also very closed…and there are towels spare in the house… Parking is on place-very comfortable… Thank you, Lina🌹

We come here to enjoy the natural pools we were too tired...

We come here to enjoy the natural pools we were too tired upon arrival. But next morning was perfect, no crowds,peaceful. There are enough restaurants to choose from. Please be aware that some of them close their kitchens around 4pm

Stunning scenery. Great for hiking.

Stunning scenery. Great for hiking. Weather is changeable and was cooler than UK at the time we visited (April into May), so take a range of clothing in case of cooler days. Jeep trips to hiking trails are a great idea. you get to see places you wouldn't stumble upon left to your own devices. Overall a rally nice spring break in stunning surroundings. Just let down by poor customer service in some of the eateries.

We stopped at Fanal forest on the way to Porto Moniz. We swam in the pools upon arrival. We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day in the winter which made it ideal for swimming and walking around.

Terrific place, spacious, well equipped and maintained. Outdoor area was fantastic, nicely landscaped and lit at night. Tastefully decorated, absolutely lovely and close to all amenities. The sea is a few minutes walk and the grocery store almost next door. Clearly the best part of our two weeks in Madeira.

Very friendly staff and perfect location in Porto Poniz. The breakfast was delicious and the spa was really relaxing after one day exploring Madeira. I would recommend this hotel and would it definitely book again when i visit Madeira.
