Very comfortable place, super host Joao and Isabel, who make special touch with fresh fruits, winw and snacks and also fresh vegetables from their very nice garden. If you are looking for a place away from main tourist routes, this is the place in the village but with nice views to the Atlantic ocean and the northern coast. And 7 min from center of Porto Moniz. The house is divided into two apartments, we stayed in the lower one (Doca Seca). The apartment was super new, some things were still originally packed. There is a small garden with covered terrace and you have a private parking inside the gate right next to the house. Even though it’s a separat house it is part of the Aqua Natura Bay hotel, and we could use all the hotel facilities for free. We arrived early and stored our luggage at the hotel and they brought it to the house once it was ready. The apartment is very modern and stylish. The kitchen is completely new, with stove, oven and dishwasher. The living room has a very comfortable couch with a big tv. There are two bathrooms in the house. One is accessible also from the terrace and the other is en-suite in the bedroom. The showers were very big and new, both with rain showers. The bed was big and comfortable with a view on the garden through the window-doors. There is a small room next to the entrance with a washing machine, hanger and ironing board. We stayed two nights and ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel gives free passes to the natural pools of Porto Monitz, which we had also on check-out day. We also used the hotel indoor pool and jacuzzi.

Excellent house with all you need - if you want to cook some food/breakfast…, wash the clothes, good supermarket is just a few minutes walking, natural sweeping pools is also very closed…and there are towels spare in the house… Parking is on place-very comfortable… Thank you, Lina🌹

We come here to enjoy the natural pools we were too tired upon arrival. But next morning was perfect, no crowds,peaceful. There are enough restaurants to choose from. Please be aware that some of them close their kitchens around 4pm

Stunning scenery. Great for hiking.

Stunning scenery. Great for hiking. Weather is changeable and was cooler than UK at the time we visited (April into May), so take a range of clothing in case of cooler days. Jeep trips to hiking trails are a great idea. you get to see places you wouldn't stumble upon left to your own devices. Overall a rally nice spring break in stunning surroundings. Just let down by poor customer service in some of the eateries.

We stopped at Fanal forest on the way to Porto Moniz. We swam in the pools upon arrival. We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day in the winter which made it ideal for swimming and walking around.

Morning coffee and cake at the little bar outside the entrance to the bigger supermarket. Exploring the upper town and climbing the winding road up the hill for great views. Sitting on a bollard in the harbour watching old men fishing, people messing about on boats, schools of fish in the deep and very clear water, even having a harbour porpoise playing near where I was sitting. Exploring the natural bathing pools at the eastern end of the promenade, swimming with schools of fish keeping you company and then sitting with a beer in the sun at the cafe nearby.

We set up at 35 day European vacation.

We set up at 35 day European vacation. We had never heard of Madeira before this. It ended up being truly the highlight of the whole 35 days vacation. Literally every moment was exciting or truly relaxing while we were in Porto Moniz. This is to whoever may be considering Porto Moniz. No games, you’re not going to find a better place to get happy.

The main value of this room is the terrace and the view from it; it is truly stunning. It should also be added that the hostess has really thought through the necessary details to make the guests' stay as comfortable as possible, considering the possibilities the room can offer. There is a hairdryer, plenty of electrical sockets—although they look a bit dangerous—and dishes, and you can even buy wine and other drinks. If you plan to visit Porto Moniz for a short stay, this is a good option with an amazing view.

The breakfast is served on a terrace, next to the ocean. Superb experience. The staff is as friendly as we have ever met. The (almost) brand-new studio has great bed(s), a spacious bathroom, a handy kitchenette. Studios is not next to the ocean, that's Hotels, but it's only 100 m to go, sit and breathe the play of water and rocks. Porto Moniz is a thumbs up, Aqua Natura Studios is another thumbs up. Free parking, a jacuzzi on the roof. And extras you can only find in a Spa: wellness, massage, pedicure, ...
