Amazing location, located within the historic fortress-city of Marvão and yet easy to reach by car (it is located on the first square immediately after entering the city gates, with ample parking, so you don't have to navigate the narrow winding streets). The room has a beautiful panorama over the valley (looking northeast, across the Spanish border), as well as a stunning view of the castle from the balcony (looking northwest). The staff is very kind and attentive; even though it was very quiet at the hotel (it seemed I was the only guest), they still served me an extensive breakfast.

Perfect newly restored hotel. Impossible to fault room, hotel or staff. Excellent breakfast. Also, the normal parking problems of Castello de Vide as there is a car park behind the hotel which always had spaces.

The guesthouse is at a farm in a beautiful natural and village setting, with a large garden and beautiful view on Castelo de Vide (one can walk to the centre of the town, although the path may be quite steep upwards). The hosts are simply amazing people keeping everything to the highest level of hospitality, starting from the very first moments upon arrival. Breakfasts were just fantastic and diverse, made with delicious homemade products. The wonderful hosts were very helpful in giving advice on sightseeing in the nearby town and the surrounding area, walking tours and dining. You can also pick up herbs from the garden for the tea. The room was extremely clean and neat, all amenities in there, a small kitchenette and a comfortable bed. The area is very quiet.
