I loved everything about this place! The staff were ALL very friendly (and a special shout out to the lovely Mafalda who gave suggestions on what to see, answered our questions about the Portuguese language and culture, and delivered friendly smiles like warm sunshine every day without fail!) The rooms are well appointed & clean (extremely important to us!), the breakfast had a good selection each day (yes, the same foods each day, but you could select something new each day for a week without eating the same thing twice), the location is perfect (so close to beaches and a short 5-10 minute walk into town), the view is wonderful, and I miss sitting on the balcony each morning with my cappuccino enjoying the sea view and breeze with the sounds of doves cooing. The bed was comfy and the shower was great. I will definitely be back!

I was there during low season, and despite having booked just a bed in a dorm room, I had the whole room to myself for the week. Everything was super clean and fresh, you could tell the facilities were very new. The staff was super friendly, showed me around the place and recommended things to do while I was there. There's a great kitchen you can use if you don't want to go out to eat, but the hostel is very central so there are also several places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. The location just by the beach is perfect. Unfortunately my room didn't have an ocean view, but the private rooms do. There is not always staff on site, which I didn't mind, but be aware of it if you prefer a more traditional check-in experience and 24h reception. Before check-in, I got an email explaining what to do, and it was fairly simple if you have basic smartphone skills. The door was opened with an app, and when I arrived I didn't see a soul, but the room and bed number was clearly indicated in the app, so I just went there and got in without issues. They had also left a traditional key card for me on the reception desk, so I didn't have to worry about not getting back in in case my phone ran out of battery or something. I think these kinds of procedures are very handy, giving you a lot of independence about check-in times etc, but again, you might disagree if you prefer to only interact with humans. Highly recommended!

Being close to the airport, you can even walk there.

Being close to the airport, you can even walk there. It's right next to the beach, with access to water sports, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Plus, you can easily get around using public transport. The receptionist who helped me with the booking process was very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this accommodation.

A very comfortable and pleasant town for living and staying, with very nice people, and an overall good atmosphere. There is enough to see and to enjoy, from food, ice-creams, and cafes. It also has a lovely small market where you can eat as well, and opposite a garden with a nice sitting area. It has all possible shops, a large grocery, it's surrounded by hills, and much green. There are many very nice old houses, nicely renovated We are not young, so I can't say. There is a very nice and spacious beach with fine black sand The town is a little bit on a hill, but by walking down, you can enjoy a very nice view of the sea. This is also the heart of the town. Another good trip is a walk the monup the hill to ument. It can be walked from both sides, both offering very nice views all around. Moving around without a car is quite difficult

Praia da Vitoria is an interesting, clean, attractive town...

Praia da Vitoria is an interesting, clean, attractive town to walk around at any time of day. The people are friendly and helpful. The food outlets are varied, from quiet quality restaurants to burger bars and excellant coffee/cake shops. The transport links are good and the bus ride into Angra is not to be missed. Prices of food are a lovely surprise, for two people from €6 for latte and cake, €9 for coffee and sandwich, €20 for a main, beer and coffee to €50 for a three course with excellent wine. Beaches are clean and seem very safe.

Small town on a great beach front.

Small town on a great beach front. Safe waters for swimming and dedicated areas for watersports, surfung can be undertaken further down tiwards the port. Good eating places and bars. Walk to the top of the Mirradour for fanastic views (its 283 steps)

I didn't realize that "Praia da Vitoria" is actually not...

I didn't realize that "Praia da Vitoria" is actually not only the name of a beach, but the name of an entire municipality, so some parts of Praia da Vitoria are not really near the beach. For instance, the apartment I rented was said to be in "Praia da Vitoria," but it was actually in a town called Lajes, which is some distance from the beach, but just happens to be within the municipality which is called "Praia da Vitoria". I wound up really loving the place I rented, and the little town, but because I was there for just 1 night, I literally never saw the beach. When you rent, if you were hoping to be near the beach (especially if you don't have a car), be sure to look carefully at the map, or specifically ask the host how close the property is to the beach (walking distance, 10-minute drive, etc.)

A very beautiful town.

A very beautiful town. Lots of different street mosaics, some very nice shops. Main street is a climb. Several nice restaurants and bars/cafes run by locals. We stayed away from the tourist restaurants and higher prices. Very quiet when we were there. Waterfront paths lovely. Beach is being revamped (June 2024). Very nice marina. A very peaceful place. Some interesting historical monuments and other things. A perfect place to stay and if you rent a car, it's very easy to visit all other areas of this small island. It took us 50 minutes to get from Praia da Vitoria to Santa Barbara at the south side of the island. Angra is wonderful to visit, lots to see, but we were very happy we stayed in Praia da Vitoria.

The staff is lovely. The room was perfect, clean, confortable, well decorated and functionnal. We enjoyed the kitchen, there is everything you need. The location is great, and closed by the beach. The lady in the office organised the pick up with the taxi for the airport. All the hotel is brand new and well decorated. There is also computer that you can use.

Very central small hotel/hostel, nice and comfortable room and bathroom, all super clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with coffee and tea always available, and fridge to leave guests' food. We only stayed one night before the boat to other islands, but it is possible to stay there for an entire vacation. Very nice, thank you!

It was a privilege to stay there because the owner gave you the whole floor with facilities and she explained very well about the location with photos. It was pity to stay only 2 days in Praia da Vitoria because it is so quiet and charming. I really would love to stay more.

Gym & sauna. Sea view with balcony. Location. Close to two excellent restaurants (R3 and La Barca). Local bus stop right outside hotel. Only 10mins taxi ride to airport.
