Hostel Nature and Diogo‘s family are the sweetest! Already on the phone I got told that this place is my home . that’s how it was ! Free laundry service, wine, tea, coffee, water and even Ice Cubes . Beautiful and freshly built cottage in Zambujeira. Everything was new and very well furnished. CHeck-in was smooth as the host came specially to welcome us even though there was a lock with the keys to make a self checking. The area was very calm around the fields, they had some sort of mini zoo with different species of birds which made the kids very curious to discover. The pool area is amazing and very well equipped. The terrace was huge with BBQ facilities. Parking is easy and your car is safe with digicode gate. We had a great stay with friends/family who rented in the same location at the same time. Great experience we highly recommend. Thank you Tatiana for hosting us.

The location of the house is absolutely stunning. It used to be the villa of the famous Portuguese singer Amalia Rodrigues, which makes it even more special. António, who looks after the property, is an incredibly kind and open-hearted person. I highly recommend ordering dinners on-site — the food is prepared with fresh local ingredients and tastes amazing. The private beach is huge, and the sunset views are simply breathtaking. What could be better?

Susan (by text) and Carmo were both so welcoming and accommodating. I arrived a bit early but that was no problem, Carmo waited for me with some refreshing snacks. Apartment is beautiful, clean and more than enough for 1. As this place is just outside Zambujeira do Mar, there is no light pollution and you can see parts of the milky way at night. When I had a small issue, Susan responded immediately and it was directly solved. The location makes it feel very peaceful and the garden gives off a very nice serenity.

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the...

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Beware the Mercado in the town was closed at 3.30 so we purchased sardines, cheese & wine fir our dinner at the apartment as it us 2.5km out of town

Very turistical, too expensive.

Very turistical, too expensive. Small village, beautiful landscape, not so much offer and in the Rota Vicentina so it attracts lots of people so prices go higher but, for the Portuguese turist, it's not the best choice.

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely...

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Great restaurants; fantastic views; relaxed atmosphere. The resort however, seems to close down around 2200,. Getting a drink after this time is difficult. That said Im informed its livlier in July / August.

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for...

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Susan (by text) and Carmo were both so welcoming and accommodating. I arrived a bit early but that was no problem, Carmo waited for me with some refreshing snacks. Apartment is beautiful, clean and more than enough for 1. As this place is just outside Zambujeira do Mar, there is no light pollution and you can see parts of the milky way at night. When I had a small issue, Susan responded immediately and it was directly solved. The location makes it feel very peaceful and the garden gives off a very nice serenity.

Diego has created such a lovely little haven for travellers, especially those hiking one of the nearby trails. The entire ho(s)tel has been equipped with facilities that make your evening/morning just that little bit easier – e.g. a washer and dryer, kitchen staples which are free to use, a station to clean your shoes, and even hot water bottles for those dealing with period pains. Incredibly thoughtfully designed by a very kind host. And the beds were lovely, too. Couldn't recommend more!

Everything! The quality of the room/hotel, it is a small boutique hotels fantastic designed - rooms are big and confortable, atmosphere is clean and elegant and position is perfect. Right downtown but very quiet at the same time. Breakfast has also been very good with quality and authentic products of a great variety.

Small very nice and beautiful hotel in a rural setting. Cosy rooms with very good bed. Nice pool. Excellent breakfast. Extremely nice service and support by Paula. Very close to the beautiful coast and beaches of the Alentejo.
