Everything about our stay was wonderful ! The location is fantastic, and our host, Larisa, truly made it exceptional. We greatly appreciated the room upgrade, ensuring we weren't disturbed by other guests. It was a lovely touch that Larisa took such great care of us even before we arrived. And seriously, the zacusca and afinata snaps were the best !

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming house during the winter, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The staff were extraordinary! The rooms were impeccable and cozy. The warm temperature made it feel like a true haven from the winter chill outside. The kitchen was well-equipped, which was very nice (stove, oven, fridge, microwave, a variety of utensils etc.) To top it all off, the views were stunning! There is private parking and the house itself is at the back of the yard making it wonderfully quiet. We can’t recommend this place enough for a cozy and comfortable winter retreat. It’s a gem we’ll probably return to!

Chişcău was the last accomodation in Romania before...

Chişcău was the last accomodation in Romania before traveling 800 km to North (the illage is only 120 km from RO/ HU border). We selected Chişcău as it is is very close to Peștera Urșilor (Bear's cave). Accomodation was perfect - quite, with terrace and view to the stream.

Bear's Cave is amazingly beautiful.

Bear's Cave is amazingly beautiful. Definitely worth visiting. It takes about 30-45 minutes to visit and about 10-15 minutes to enter from buying the ticket to organizing the group. "La fluturi" Museum has free entry. It contains old traditional objects, local and imported. It's interesting to visit and doesn't take long.

The settlement has a lot of accommodation in a beautiful...

The settlement has a lot of accommodation in a beautiful environment at the foot of the Bihari Mountains. Most of the accommodation is a guesthouse with its own restaurant, serving local specialties. The Bear Cave is located in the settlement. On the slope leading to the cave, you can also buy local handicrafts. The Pádis Mountains are conveniently reachable in less than an hour.

We went specifically for the cave, which I really liked.

We went specifically for the cave, which I really liked. There is also a private ethnographic collection in the village, which the host recommended, and it was worth seeing. The road quality in the village was terrible. Maybe this is due to the current construction of the gas network, and it will improve in the near future, but it is currently a disaster.

Chiscau village is an isolated mountain village.

Chiscau village is an isolated mountain village. Personally, we were disappointed. High prices at the guesthouse restaurants and small portions of food. A lot of Hungarian tourists come to the area. The Bear Cave is worth visiting, the last time we were accompanied by an arrogant guide, who didn't really feel like talking.

The area is extraordinary in terms of nature and tourist...

The area is extraordinary in terms of nature and tourist attractions. The roads are good and relatively free. It is a very suitable location for those who are only looking for nature. The possibilities of going to a restaurant are quite limited.
