We loved the location and it's beautiful surroundings.With the old church and lakes literally outside your window. Step out of the building and into pure fresh air. We loved the food and simply wanted to stay. There is coffee on tap, once you find the machine, or tea, etc and after a long walk to be able to sit in the gardens was sublime. We really were pleased that our coach to Dalhalla came right to the hotel door. That was unexpected but very thoughtful

Perfect location, right by the lake which was perfect for fishing, a 20 minute walk from the centre of Rättvik and also close for Dalhalla which we also went to! And the home itself was beautiful, lovely and quiet and so cosy. Margetha is the best host we've had anywhere, she is so kind and there for anything you need. Look forward to staying here again in the future ☺️

We stayed at Villa Franca Maria for a couple of nights, and we wished we could have stayed longer! Everything from the accommodation to the location was lovely, and the hosts are both very kind and available. If we ever travel back to Sweden we will make sure to book our stay there again! Strongly recommend 🙂

We had an amazing stay in Rättvik! The location is breathtaking, with an amazing stunning view of the lake that makes for an unforgettable experience. The apartment was spotless, with all the comforts, while the cozy, traditionally styled bedroom added a special touch to the stay. Last but not least, Olaf and Jela were incredibly kind, welcoming, and open-hearted, making us feel right at home. It exceeded our expectations and will be an experience of a lifetime. We traveled to Rattvik for a gig at Dalhalla. The cabin we booked was clean and spacious - a good sized kitchenette, with pots, pans, a fridge etc. The setting is stunning, as it is up a hill from the town/lake, and so the view from the rooms is beautiful. You are expected to clean your cabin before you leave - which wasn't an issue as cleaning products are provided. There is also an extra charge for linen (which is fine, and makes sense given lots of people bring their own). We took the train to Rattvik and so didn't have a car - the walk from the town centre is about 15-20 minutes and is uphill. Would definitely recommend!
