FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, whilst maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is great value dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city centre. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo offering the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodation ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

Had a 7 night stay in Singapore and prior to the trip undertook extensive research on what to do. Highlights included Gardens by the Bay, Jewel Shopping Centre, Little India and the Arab district. Getting around on the MRT train network was simple, comfortable and very efficient. Don't purchase a Tourist Pass for the MRT, just an Ezlink card. It is unlikely you would use up the value on the Tourist Pass. Only time we used a taxi was from and to the airport. The Hawker Centres are excellent value for a great meal but be warned restaurants in tourist areas are expensive as is alcohol.

Clean city. Caring culture. Friendly people.

Clean city. Caring culture. Friendly people. Great choice of places to eat across most budgets. Loads of big city shops, and prices - from ultra modern malls to ancient ethnic areas and markets. Fantastic underground railway system. Lots to see. Worthwhile staying more than just a one night stopover.

A beautiful city with nearly 50% green space.

A beautiful city with nearly 50% green space. There is large botanic gardens, which is great to walk through. Gardens by the Bay have two huge conservatories , some of the largest greenhouses in the world. Definitely a must visit. The buildings are modern and interesting. It is easy to get around with the hop on hop off and taxis or the grab app (similar to Uber.).

This is my 3rd time staying at the Sofitel City Center hotel. I am glad that I chose your hotel for this business trip that last for a week, thanks to the help of your staff team. Over the past two decades, I have stayed at many prestigious hotels in Singapore. Nowadays, the quality of facility and hardware of 4 to 5-star hotels is not very different. What differentiates a hotel from others is the quality of the service which cannot be delivered without great staff.

- Location was accessible to transportation, food and stuff - Facilities were plenty ( from gym to laundry, they have everything you need in a serviced apartment) - The room is big and clean for the money paid (compared to other hotels in Singapore) - The view is incredible from the room ( I was lucky to be given the highest floor - 19th floor)
