The location was wonderful, with pristine forests, streams, and air. On a clear day, the view was splendid and shooting stars could be seen at night. Otherwise, some fog also made for a memorable ambient. We were greeted with a nicely warm apartment and the hosts were very friendly, suggesting hiking paths and making us feel welcome.

It's the hospitality what matters, and at Hisa Poljana it's at the best ever level. The hosts were extremely helpful, friendly, gave us some treats and provided some advices on our further trip, which we actually followed and were satisfied. And breakfast is really amazing, I must say it's nicely and home made, better than most others hotels buffet.

Perfect location for travel through by bike between Slovenia and Austria. The owner super-friendly. For 2nd time I arrived as they knew me from ages! I would stay there next time when I travel that area. The kitchen is perfect (for me). I recommend them!!!

The rooms were great and the view out to the mountains was amazing. It's such a cosy and welcoming place with incredible home cooked meals if you don't want to venture any further for dinner. The breakfast was full of home made delights, such as homemade jams, yoghurt, cheese, and pate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.
