Brezno is centrally located and the surrounding countryside is easily accessed. The town centre is very pleasant whilst on the outskirts there is a superb car museum. We arrived to the hotel and the next day we wanted to go hiking, but my car's battery dead. The hotel staff helped for us. He took me with the hotel's car to the nearby town (Brezno), where I could buy a new battery. He took me back to the hotel and helped to replace the battery and the car was repaired. Yes, it is a little walk from the town centre, but not too difficult and only 15 minutes. There is a restaurent on the ground floor, serving both taditional Slovakian and usual pub food to a good standard. The classic car collection is well worth a visit.
