Wonderful oasis in the heart of Dakar. Great atmosphere, music scene and pool area. Modern African-style vibe and decoration, with a lot of art. Truly kind staff (Dieng and Die at the reception as well as the restaurant waitresses). Lovely rooms with private terrace and well-kept garden. We had an amazing stay, the staff is superfriendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a central but quiet and safe area with security guard 24/7. The hotel is well maintained and well decorated, the Cactus rooftop was a little gem and the food was great. The hotel offered european and local food and beverages. The staff was able to serve us in french, e gkish and wolof and always with the smile.

I would recommend this place for anyone to stay at. The staff were exceptionally helpful especially for me as an English speaker. They went above and beyond to help me get cabs and navigate the city. The rooftop restaurant has a really nice vibe and the food is good and reasonably priced. My room was clean with great air conditioning. The room was fully enclosed, so no bugs and the hot water was great. Breakfast included with the price of the room was good with a fair amount of food options. I felt safe and wasn't concerned about my belongings when I left. They have a beautiful courtyard in the centre of the building and I woke up to the most beautiful sounds of birds singing in the trees. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay at casa mara for my whole trip as they were fully booked. Just a note that they do not accept credit card for payment. They like to receive payment in XOF. If you have a busy work schedule, it is better to change your money at the airport before arriving to the hotel if you won't have extra time (the rates were comparable to on the street). Going to the bank to change money was time consuming!
