This was a true 5-star experience, the staff was excellent and very attentive to needs. The food was delicious and the surroundings beautiful. We would come back any day, and we were sad to leave.

The owner was super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The room was simple, clean and well air conditioned. The grounds are nice, with lots of trees around.

At first glance, the hotel is located in a very rural area — perhaps even too rural — but it turned out to be a great place to stay. The lady at the front desk was very kind and always tried to help. A relatively late check-in (around 21:30) was no problem. The hotel provided bottled water, toothbrushes, and extra towels for the swimming pool. On the property, there’s a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook or warm up food, as well as a washing machine for guests to use. The Wi‑Fi was excellent everywhere, all day long.

This place is perfect for a relaxing stay. The staff were amazing!! The rooms were super clean and comfortable. We felt so well looked after with late check out time (1:00 PM) being offered and extra amenities for free. We really enjoyed the quiet vibe and secluded feel of the resort.

staff were great, pool was lovely, rooms were large basic and clean, shower area was good and bed comfortable, transport is needed to get to the best Thai food restaurant in the area 400m past the lotus supermarket on left called "The Old Maikow restaurant" which hotel can arrange for you. please read what i didn't like for details on distance and transport. Disliked · for travellers over a certain age who are not as spritely as they once were 20 years ago the distance to beach was a 350m walk with no cheap restaurants, to the nearest 7-11 and cheaper restaurants and street food was 400m, the nearest lotus supermarket another 7-11 was a further 400m, so if your like us(old) the hotel would call a local "samlor" (tuk tuk) who would transport you anywhere, or you could use the free hotel bicycle if your Lance Armstrong lol, remember the heat factor too. we were told that there were plans for a breakfast area for the future, and although there was a fridge in reception for the purchase of cold drinks they did not have any snacks or pot noodle style food available, which would have been handy. would we stay here again ? we would, as much as we needed transport to reach the shops etc as my wife is Thai it was easier for us to call transport direct than rely on the hotel every time. the large room could do with a bigger tv as it was only furnished with a tiny one.

The beach itself is very steep, dirty, and a bit scary when tide is high. I did find the ruins of hotels from the 2004 tsunami historically interesting but probably rather creepy for many travelers. Leave the beach to the swarms of Russians.

We came to get away form Patong Town for the final days of...

We came to get away form Patong Town for the final days of our trip, so the location was not a problem for us as we were also close to the airport. We recommend a visit to Baan Ar-Joor - the food is lovely and the history is interesting.

Mai Khao Beach is amazing, one of the best on the island but...

Mai Khao Beach is amazing, one of the best on the island but there is little in the vicinity to do. It's a long way from the main resorts which some may prefer. Its 10 minutes to the airport so perfect for a 1 night stay before flying home but personally I think its not for those wishing to stay a week or more unless you hire a car / moped.

Loved the location of Mai Khao!

Loved the location of Mai Khao! The resort pools and beach itself were amazing and not overly crowded. Watching the planes land over the beach was fascinating and made for awesome photos! There were plenty of local eateries outside of the resort and plenty of places for massages, facials, pedicures etc... The stalls down at the beach had fabulous food and drinks for $5 AUD and under and the variety was excellent! And no upset bellies!! It was easy to hail a tuk tuk when it got too hot to walk further distances as they were everywhere. One of our friends hadn't been to Thailand before so we took a day trip into Patong which took an hour and a half. We thought she should see Bangla Rd at least once! Was glad to get back to the peace and tranquility of Mai Khao though!!

This place was one I will keep coming back to.

This place was one I will keep coming back to. The room exceeded my expectations. I was happy to see there was a couch with an extra sitting room outside the main bedroom area. This was very helpful. The food in the restaurant has a good variety of options and it was the best curry I had the whole vacation. The hosts were so kind and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

I had a great time in this property. Wonderful host, goes beyound my expectation, clean environment, was always asking me if i needed any additional services , took me around the city at no cost. I'm definately given him 100% rating. Kind, respectful, patient and always there for me at all times. This property is highly recommended to anyone coming to spend some time in phuket, Thailand. I will always visit again. Wondeful people .

We had a great short Honeymoon here at the hotel and even got upgraded to the Pool Villa which was amazing. We were warmly welcomed and they even set up the room with petals and a romantic arrangement. The staff and overall resort exceeded our expectations and would definitely love to come back again! Highly recommend staying here! Great facilities as well!

Amazing amazing hotel. Words cannot express how much I admire this place. I have been in many hotels throughout my life but this one exceeded all of them. Pool, service, restaurant, room, kids club, all was perfect. I'll return here for sure each come I visit Phuket.
