The breakfast was excellent. We were given to try a sweet that was specially made for us. It was delicious. The service was really good. The coffee was brilliant. We tried the coffee from the slow bar. This something else, as the coffee was made with a special espresso machine. It was basically hand made. I ended up having three espressos each morning. Well worth the wait. Brilliant.

we loved its central location (within 5 minutes walk of our favourite restaurants - one open during the day adjacent to the hotel which mainly catered for local families and the other at Tamajun hotel overlooking the river. the room was cleaned every day to a high standard - glass bottles of water where replenished daily minimising plastic use which we appreciated. the a/c was very effective, very comfy large bed, decor was tasteful, a classic elegance , staff were friendly - overall we loved this place

Quite a quaint town with a really nice old town area on the river. However, you wouldnt want more than a couple of days there. We struggled a bit with the lack of English and our Thai is sketchy, but people were very kind and helpful.

The visit was principally in order to visit the Gem Stone market but there are plenty more places to see. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is well worth a visit. A number of Temples are there too.

Nice beach and very fresh cheap seafood at the pier at Chaolao beach. Nice view at Kungwimarn beach and Nangphaya Hill. Good to visit the Catholic church and walk to the Chantabun walking market to experience local lives, food and snacks.

Going through the Taksin shipyard and reviewing things there. Has character and some past history I am sure. We ate at the resort because they order whatever you want and their family brings it in for you at anytime. Breakfast was exceptional, a mix of european and thai and fitted our family. Easy to get around; however, would try and find an easier route to get to the Meena, we did not have GPS, so we ended up inside of the town and had a long drive to the resort.

We went to the National Park, which was close, to see the waterfall. Ha ha ha ha, climbed up many steps and there it was, a little trickle of water falling down a hill....ha ha ha ha. Would not recommend this tourist attraction. Of course, I have been to real waterfalls, and so maybe that has something to do with my remarks.

What a wonderful stay!!! Nothing to complain about. EVERYTHING was perfect!! The garden was unusable during our stay due to previous flooding. There is only one bicycle, so the second person may have to ride on the back. It is a very good bicycle, though. We did most things on foot. Nice restaurants, bars and market nearby. Chanthaburi and the nearby park with waterfall is a nice stop for two nights 👌

Absolutely beautiful. A real gem of a Heritage house. Very special and unique, in a world dominated by cheap IKEA furnitures and standard hotel rooms looking the same all over the world. The minute you step into the Punyashthiti Villa you enter a different world. Very much recommend!
