I recommend a visit to the clear-blue-water beaches on the West side of the island (not the pier side which is quite industrial and dirty). I have been on a few islands near(ish) to Bangkok and really don’t recommend Koh Si Chang to international travellers. Majority of the places do not have an English menu and majority barely speak any English. It’s a very ‘real’ town and very near the port, so the beach isn’t great. There are rubbish everywhere as it is a very ‘real’ town and not for tourist. For example you won’t be able to buy anything remotely touristy (like a fridge magnet haha) on the island. In terms of the size, you can tour the whole island in a few hours. We stayed at De’ Anchor, an amazing resort and honestly is the best place and best thing about this island, and also why we came, because we wanted a relaxing holiday.Guest review byCatherineAustralia
