Prachuap is a delightful Thai town.

Prachuap is a delightful Thai town. The esplanade along the coast is super for walking, running, cycling. Ao Manao Bay is fantastic for chilling in a beach chair, zipping on a banana boat, or eating good Thai food. The weekend market has many different types of food and cheap clothes and accessories. There are also a couple of quality non Thai restaurants in the town, back from the coast and some good coffee shops. The temple on the hilltop is worth walking up, except for the monkeys. Ao Noi Bay and cave temple is really good too. Lots to see and do in Prachuap.

Not really sure about Prachuap KK - far too many stray dogs...

Not really sure about Prachuap KK - far too many stray dogs which can feel a bit frightening especially at night! Not many reviewers have mentioned this - our host had walking sticks to deter the dogs and monkeys! The place is very low key and not many places to just sit and have a drink at the end of the day. Found a great vegetarian place to eat - breakfast and lunch only as they close at 2

Aquarium was excellent, cheap entry. Museum of science and technology very interesting if you could read Thai. No English unfortunately. Prachuap museum although small was very good with detailed info of the local history etc in English and Thai. A special thanks for the free guided tour by the local official on duty. As it appears to be closed make sure you ask and they will open it up. Free entry. Invigorating walk up the 300+ steps to the temple on the hill for some magnificent views. Seafood restaurant near Yen Yen is excellent, good size servings and inexpensive. Huge market on beachfront promenade Frid , Sat evenings.

A tranquil seaside town.

A tranquil seaside town. The tourist population is majority older European couples who are enjoying a leisurely stay at the beach. Very beautiful scenery. A bit hard transport wise unless you constantly pay for taxis or rent your own motorbike.

its not resort, in 5 days i saw maybe 15 tourist there, in the beach we were only ones, no loud bars no gogo etc. you can just peacefully relax, cheap food, also night market, can take bicycle and cycle around (dont choose main roads) nice countryside with few traffic, probably it would be good idea to rent scooter or car to explorer more, i just spent 5 days, 2 days used bicycle (20+60km) just cycled and discovered no itenary

One night only is too short. I extended my stay. The town is not big, but after many big and noisy places this place is perfect. No mad traffic. Lots of very nice restaurants and cafes. Nature, mountains, monkeys (two types black and brown, gentle and less friendly :) :) :) Easy to arrive here with the train.

It is a pity that I cannot give 20. The place of Ying is lovely. It is just like in the pictures, it has a great atmosphere, and you feel at home from the very first moment. Ying and her husband are welcoming and super-nice; one should definitely try her handmade lip balms and lotions as well! The town, Prachuap Khiri Khan, is a perfect spot to explore the mainland of Thailand with fantastic beaches and tasty foods but without thousands of foreigners.

The sea view…most rooms seemed to have a sea view. The bed/bedding was comfortable, the room was clean and fellow guests were quiet. I slept well! The free snack breakfast was a nice touch. The set breakfasts Thai or western 100 baht were good value. Plenty of other options nearby. I found all the staff friendly and helpful In my opinion the hotel is good value, I enjoyed my stay and I’m looking forward to the next time

I struggle to describe how much I enjoyed staying here. The place just feels cool .. styling feels like 1920’s French imperial chic .. think Hotel du Vin or Cafe Rouge. There is an awesome little Coffee shop in the entrance. What really makes it pop are the staff. They couldn’t be more helpful. After a lot of travelling it was nice to be in a place I felt personally connected. Cannot wait to return !

The double rooms around the pool areas are excellent, very new, each poolside room is supplied with its own sunbeds and outside sitting areas. we spent 10 days at coco pina and most of the time we had the whole pool to ourselves. usially gets busier on weekends, can rent motor bikes and bicycles at the hotel. There is also a cafe whech sells coffees and snacks
