I've been in most of the hotels in Douz, and in my opinion, this is the best one in town. The reception service was nice, the person behind the desk was chatty and funny. The room was neat and comfortable, with a nice pool view. The swimming pool is big enough and looks pretty.

Douz isn't a particularly charming city.

Douz isn't a particularly charming city. What makes it attractive are the camel and quad bike excursions in the desert. The sunsets are spectacular. But spending a day there is more than enough.

DOUZ offers the possibility of excursions in the desert, welcoming and economical restaurants and to get around there are luage (collective transport of 9-seater minibuses when they are full of people they depart).

The town itself isn't particularly exciting; it's just...

The town itself isn't particularly exciting; it's just another ordinary town that clearly enjoyed a period of glory in the past, as evidenced by the abandoned hotels in its tourist area. But the desert begins at Douz, and what could be more breathtaking than the desert? Whether by 4x4, quad bike, camel, or even on foot, this town is well worth a visit.

Overall, I really liked the hotel and it met my expectations. I would have appreciated air conditioning, which only served as a fan. Fortunately, it wasn't too hot, so we were able to rest well!

It's the start for the desert.

It's the start for the desert. The souk, and the surrounding areas (Sabria is a nativity scene...). The desert dunes! The expert guide Habib KTM (and his staff), who has a shop in the souk, is a point of reference!!! The adventure begins in Douz!!!

The room was lovely and I liked the traditional houch style. I also liked the way the garden and the roof terrace were laid out. It was only a 15 minute walk into central Douz so was conveniently situated. Hassan was very courteous and nothing was too much trouble. A really charming and traditional place to stay.

The hotel front and lobby is beautiful. Staff were helpful and sitting area very comfortable. Rooms were outdated but clean. The AC never worked very well but window had net so we could keep the window open at night. The pools looked really nice and wish we had time to use them.

Unique experience - the night under a million stars. Location in the middle of absolutely nothing. 100km from Douz. The camp can help you organize a transfer and during the transfer you can also experience different views of the Sahara. Additional paid dinner is very tasty.
