A must visit! We ended up at Garden Beach Villas by coincidence after having another accommodation in the area cancelled. We did not expect a lot and were nicely surprised. Our stay was at the small villa which is comprised of great sized bathroom, clean bedroom and large living room area connected with kitchen which, despite being quite basic, is equipped with pretty much everything you need. The outdoor area is of a great size with chairs and a sunlounger - overlooking the beautifully cared for garden which offers direct access to calm and relaxing beach. Our breakfast was served on time and always fresh- we had fresh juice, fruit, pancakes, eggs and bread available. The staff was exceptional-smiley and welcoming always available to help with anything we needed. We were also joined by a family of cats and kittens that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Overall we loved our stay here and would like to thank the team (especially Mati) for making our stay feel like home away from home.

Tomek and wife were amazing hosts. Very attentive and made sure our stay was memorable. Rooms with awesome sea views. Nice big pool. Food was really good especially the fresh baked bread 🍞 in the morning. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Will definitely be back.

Our stay at Haber Apartments was fantastic! One of the standout features was the large, beautiful pool, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The rooms were incredibly spacious—much bigger than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Zanzibar, giving us plenty of room to unwind. The food was equally amazing, not just in taste but in presentation. Every meal was beautifully decorated and tasted just as great, adding a touch of luxury to the dining experience. The staff was another highlight—they were incredibly friendly and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the service continued to impress us throughout our stay. Beautifully designed little complex made for an extremely relaxing two night stay. The team were very welcoming and helpful, and facilitated a late check out so we could fully enjoy our last day. The pool was fantastic. Breakfast was exceptional, and we enjoyed the other meals and drinks we had there. All very close to the beach, its bars and restaurants, and village.

LOVED my time at Tamu Tamu hotel in Zanzibar. The location right next to Pwani Mchangani on the eastern coast was perfect - super quiet with not too many tourists and a nice village with a few restaurants nearby. We really preferred it to hectic Stone Town and touristy Nungwi Beach for example. The rooms were beautiful and clean, we really appreciated the attention room service put into making sure everything was neat when we got back from a daytrip. The pool area was beautiful too, we could have easily spent a whole week just lounging there. The food at the restaurant was great too, the breakfasts were copious with many options to choose from and the urojo (a local soup they made for us upon demand) was the most delicious thing I tasted on my trip to Tanzania. They also have a nice menu of snacks to enjoy poolside and a fantastic happy hour deal with very good cocktails. Finally, the staff, absolutely lovely, super helpful and always around in case we needed anything. I appreciated their help with transportation around the island and booking activities, like a spice tour and visit to Stone Town. Honestly for the price, this place is unbeatable. It's a boutique hotel where you're afforded more attention than in the 3 times more expensive large resorts more north. Thank you Tamu Tamu for a fantastic stay!

Owners are incredible and can help you book excursions or transportation anywhere you want to go. They helped us arrange 4 days worth of activities, and we'd decide the night before what we wanted to do the next day. They had great advice in what was worth seeing. Room was beautiful and great that they could accommodate three people in one room. Wifi was a little iffy and only available in the restaurant. But would absolutely recommend and plan to visit again.
