Wonderful staff, excellent beds and a very nice swimming pool. The chef made some very good meals and the room was very spacious and very new. The staff is also very helpful if you want to explore the island. I can highly recommend Mafia Dream Hotel if you are looking for a place at Mafia Island.

it’s private, spacious and fits well with the nature. The bed is comfortable, staff vas very nice and yummy food. There is a choice of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner and fresh fruits available. Th ask pretty much all what we eaten the whole time and was really delicious. There is also a bar and bed hammocks which was great for relaxing. Hassan the host Organise a whale shark tour for us which we really enjoyed as that was the main reason. for visiting Mafia.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Kimulimuli Green Heaven. The Mawimbi bungalow is very clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The outdoor bathroom is absolutely magical, immersed in nature. We slept peacefully every night, lulled by the sound of the waves from the beach just below. The welcome from Antonia and Hamisi was exceptional : warm, attentive, and always available. And a special mention to Warda, who prepares breakfast: she is an amazing cook, always smiling and full of good energy. We highly recommend this place and would love to return asap :)

The location such a beautiful place near the beach every thing was fantastic the rooms luxury very clean I love it the food all was fantastic. Please note that my review refers to Butiama Beach Lodge! A slight misunderstanding meant that we had booked Butiama Bustani but were taken to Butiama Beach upon pickup from the airport. Once there (at Butiama Beach) and once we realised we were at the 'wrong' hotel, instead of transferring to Butiama Bustani were we had actually booked, we asked if we could pay the supplement and stay at Butiama Beach, which we did (luckily they had a room available). The Butiama Beach Lodge is a truly wonderful and romantic place for a relaxing holiday. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, the rooms are very comfortable (with a hammock on the veranda that I could have stayed in forever was it not for all the other nice things one wanted to see and do at the lodge), the sunsets over the ocean are gorgeous, and there are several activities that one can easily join thanks to the hotel's own activity manager. As it wasn't the right season for the whale sharks, we joined a boat going out to watch humpback whales. The sea was quite rough, no possibility to keep the camera out for all the water splashing in, but seeing the whales was a great experience!

this is like a jungle treehouse hotel-- so cool! staff was soooo nice! great social atmosphere even though i was like one of the only guests. THREE different beach entrances, AND an on-demand bar with great sunset beach views? Stunning. Food was very yummy. love that they are really trying to promote sustainability and responsible tour operators on mafia island.

Ally is the perfect host, very kind, helpful and responsive. He organized for a tuk tuk to pick us up at the airport on arrival and he called one for us anytime that we needed it. He’s also very helpful to organize tours and activities. Location is great, outside of the marine park area so there’s no tax to pay everyday and it’s where locals live. Close to the beach and a few min of tuk tuk to the airport area where there are a few nice places to eat, it’s also possible to go there walking, which we did every time, you just need the torch. Also not far away from the marine park by tuk tuk. Room is basic but exactly as in the pictures, pretty spacious and clean. There is no hot water but that honestly is not a problem at all considering the temperatures, besides, I think this is the same in pretty much the whole island. Breakfast is good and they are also very flexible on the time if asked. Value for money is great so overall it’s the perfect place to explore Mafia on a budget. Hope to come back. Asante sana!

Beautiful resort. The location is amazing, my room even had ocean view. The food is fantastic, every day was a celebration and surprise. Which for me as a vegan is quite hard to find usually, even in Europe. Let's not forget about the staff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. It's super rare to find such attentive staff. I will be back for sure.

This is a great place to stay if you are planning to dive in Mafia for a view days. The two cosy new bungalows are part of the family run dive center. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is yummy and you can also have the option for dinner. I enjoyed the big pool to relax after great dives and the beach is just a stone throw away. Also the dive center and its extremely helpful staff deserves 5 stars!
