Impossible to not start with the elephants… wow - what an amazing experience with the elephants at the watering hole just a few meters away from the pool and dining area. Taking a dip, your breakfast/lunch/dinner, enjoying a soak in the hot tub, or chilling on the rooftop lounge of the cabins while herds and herds of those amazing creatures cycled through throughout the day was insane. What an experience. Food was good, sometimes a little complicated but they out a lot of effort in which is nice. The pool area is really nice as well. The cabins are really well done and we loved the concept, especially the rooftop lounge for viewing animals. It’s an eco resort so you have to be ok with no AC. It got a little hot at times but we managed with the fans and getting a breeze through. At night it cools down nicely. We also did the off-road buggy tour which was good fun, a different way to see the Tanzanian countryside and some wildlife outside the park. Location (apart from the elephants and wildlife) is also great, right beside one of the secondary entrances to Tarangire. Staff were also really nice, shoutout to Innocencia who especially took good care of us, and the Saffer manager who was always good for a laugh and a story.

Our stay at Tarangire Sopa Lodge was absolutely incredible. The room was amazing, beautifully decorated, spotless, and super comfortable, with perfect temperature and thoughtful turndown service every evening. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special for our honeymoon. Every single person we met was warm, genuine, and attentive. We truly felt cared for. The food was five star quality. The chef was fantastic, and the wait staff were equally wonderful. The dining area itself is beautifully lit, spacious, and offers a stunning view in the mornings for breakfast. We loved the variety and freshness of the buffet, and even got a surprise serenade at dinner, which made the night unforgettable. Honestly, the vibe of this lodge far exceeds what the photos online show. The pictures on Booking.com don’t do it justice at all; it’s far more beautiful, welcoming, and luxurious in person. This was a truly wonderful experience in every way. We only wish we had known how amazing it would be, because we would have stayed longer. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Tarangire.

This is a little luxury in the middle of the bush. It was not the main seasion, we were the alone guests in the whole accommodation. The place is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was fantastically hot. The tent is big and there is all of the important equipment in it. The meal was very tasty and plenty.
