Hello Folks , Incredible stay at this lovely retreat Feb 4 to Feb 6th 2025 !! Even though this retreat was highly rated it exceeded my expectations in regards to the existing review ratings !! It has beautiful accommodations with a Spa like feel, high quality rooms and bedding, with exceptional design. The property is absolutely stunning with beautiful landscape vegetation and flowers everywhere, outdoor pool with swim up cocktail bar, fire pit area, nicely appointed lounging areas, and comfortable outdoor dining areas. The Breakfast and food is delicious and the whole retreat is sparkling clean ! The quality of service is well above average from this retreat, with outstanding Management ( Manny and staff ) they were attentive, polite, and super helpful in all aspects of their service, these folks go above and beyond to serve you ! My wife and I are fairly well travelled ..Canada, US, New Zealand, Australia, South America, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican, Ukraine, Thailand, Dubai, Africa .. This lodge felt like an oasis. It is located near the dusty and noisy main road of Moshi but once you enter the yard of this lodge its caribbean flair overwhelms you. It is surprisingly calm and relaxing. It is obvious that the owner chose and designed every object in the yard and the rooms with the utmost care. The overall picture of the lodge is really stunning. I especially liked the open bar/restaurant and the swinging bed in the yard. The staff and the owner are extraordinarily friendly and the food is just delicious. There have not been so many customers, which surprised me a little. It might be because the lodge is still new. I think this lodge is particularly perfect for people that have just climbed or are about to climb the Kilimanjaro and are searching for some relief. You can also see the Kilimanjaro from the yard and the rooms. For us this lodge was a unique experience and we really recommend going there.

We stayed on the seventh floor in the King Room. It's a corner room with two large patio windows on either side, which open on to two balconies. This room must have the best veiw of Kilimanjaro than any other hotel in Moshi. We spent three nights here and the best time to see the mountain was at sunrise, which in February was around 6.45am. At this time there was a clear unobstructed view as there was no cloud. After breakfast Kilimanjaro had disappeared for the rest of the day hidden beneath a layer of thick cloud. In the words of a tour operator, Mount Kilimanjaro loves to play hide and seek. The hotel is a good modern hotel with all the amenities you'd expect. And has a great view of Kilimanjaro from the roof top bar. Although, it gets rather windy up there at sunset. It's a shame that the bar staff play very loud music, which totally spoils the ambience of the occasion. The breakfast is good and the waiting staff are very attentive and Jordon M, the chef, will cook eggs just as you like them. The room is well made up every day with all toiletries and towels are replenished. I found the air-conditioning controls difficult to operate but reception were quickly on hand to assist. What makes the King Room, on the seventh floor, so outstanding is the magnificent, unobstructed, view of Kilimanjaro, which, when all said and done, is the only reason to be in Moshi

Walk around the property. Many things to do in Moshi. Indioitaliano has the best Pizza in moshi. Be sure to get a view of Kilimanjaro. From the rooftop bar. Rafiki Supermarkets have a great selection of items. Waterforlife statue at round about on the main road. If Hostel life is for you make sure to see what Hostel Hoff has to offer.

The only reason to go to Moshi is a jumping off point for...

The only reason to go to Moshi is a jumping off point for climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and/or safari. The town itself is a working medium size town, some catering to tourism, somewhta scruffy. No nice area to walk or anything particularly interesting.

The weather is great - quite cool at this time of year. The town is clean and well labelled. It is a small town so its very serene and has little traffic jam. I consider it a great stop-over if heading to Dar es salaam by road from the Kenya side.

Our host Lady and the team were excellent. We were greeted with fresh juice and a warm wash cloth on arrival which was a lovely welcome. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The grounds are lovely and the lodge is close to facilities in town but easy to drive to other locations from, including the airport. The food was cooked fresh everyday and everyone enjoyed the meals. The showers were hot and swimming pool (very unexpected!) was nice and cool. We felt so well looked after I feel like I have an extended family in Moshi now.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kisanga. The staff was very welcoming, the hotel is very new and beautifully decorated. The rooms are clean and we slept very well in the bed. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Tanzania, offering a wide range of food like omelette, pancakes, fresh fruits, coffee, tea, bread, and vegetables and baked beans. Overall, we would definitely come back and we highly recommend this place!
