    Cape Girardeau is a great place for a getaway!

    Cape Girardeau is a great place for a getaway! I enjoyed shopping on Main Street and at the mall, visiting the local thrift stores, dining at various restaurants, winning at the Century Casino, and staying at both The Riverview Hotel and Pear Tree Inn by the Medical Center. Cape Girardeau is a peaceful, relaxing, laid back, slow-paced town. It’s a wonderful place to go to wind down from big city life!

    Very nice people.

    Very nice people. Easy to get to our Hotel Drury.. which, was the best hotel we have stayed at in the last 2 months of travel from Iowa to the East coast, and down to Florida back to Iowa because of two hurricanes. And then down to Florida to pack everything up and head back to Iowa. Lots of hotels and people. The best there in Cape girardeau. Cracker Barrel was awesome too. They had food at the hotel which was free, but have been craving Cracker Barrel Catfish dinner.

    There are a lot of restaurants we didn’t get to.

    There are a lot of restaurants we didn’t get to. We didn’t travel with kids but there are lots for them. Museum. Lazy L Farm. Trampoline Park. Splash Pools. Library. We at Lamberts and BGs Deli and Logans. All fantastic food and great service. Will return.

    This is a beautiful little town with great places to shop...

    This is a beautiful little town with great places to shop and eat. Has a very nice sports center where we played our volleyball tournament and also some beautiful parks. There are lots of nice hotels to stay at that are not far from the interstate and offer reasonable rates. You will have no worries about finding a good place to eat, as they have plenty. We felt very safe in this city and the community is very welcoming.

    We needed a place that was halfway between Greenville Ms and Chicago. This quaint city with a small town feel was perfect. Not too big like a city and not too small where there’s nothing to do. Be sure to visit the River front. It’s amazing.

    We go there for the Sport Complex, we are super busy with volleyball! The Yummy Bowl looks like a dive but it’s clean and the food is good. Plenty of choices to grab dinner. They have restaurants that offer healthy food which we did appreciate.

    This is a clean place to stay at such a reasonable price. Very clean, safe area and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The pool was great. The breakfast is as always phenomenal!! This hotel is known for their breakfast spread and we have tournaments in Cape Girardo once a year and always stay at Auburn Place. I wouldn’t want to stay at any other hotel in the area and we have been traveling to the area for years.
