Definitely plan to attend the Horse Nation Indian Relay Races Championship in September. Visit Fort Caspar Museum for a wonderful presentation of Wyoming history as well as story of Casper. On the way to Casper is wide, empty spaces with nowhere to stop so the drive was tedious. Casper itself was a nice little town but it was very isolated. There are other towns in Wyoming I have liked better, and we probably won't make the long trek to Casper again without a very specific need to go there. Construction was a little inconvenient, but can't be helped.
Construction was a little inconvenient, but can't be helped. It was just a very nice area. Scenic, great shops, everyone super friendly and down to earth. Visited Rotary Park, which was really nice. Drove up the mountain and walked around. Ate at Branding Iron downtown. Great food! Burgers were fantastic! Ate at Hibachi all you can eat place (don't remember the exact name, but was by Dick's sporting goods in mall). Food was absolutely delicious and so many choices!! Walked around the river. On this trip Casper was an overnight stop on the way from Denver to the Tetons but it offered more than enough in terms of places to shop and eat. Very easy to get around. We ate at Perkins because I was visiting the USA and hadn’t eaten at a Perkins since long before I moved overseas but there was a lot to choose from.Guest review byWendyAustralia
