Friendly old time CHARM ,only drawback experience was town...

Friendly old time CHARM ,only drawback experience was town needs to do better job explaining parking situations. $15 park all day one location is. Pay to park on street,by meter. You pay by hour...regardless what the pay meter displays and misleading how much you pay. Wasn't clear in understanding when got hooked into 3 hours over $6.50 ...that meant you could move your car around town (displaying the receipt in window) and park again within that 3 hour period without paying more to park thoughout Cooperstown at other locations. Major headache seemingly the violation you could not park in one (1) location for more than 2 hours without getting ticketed. Regardless how much time you purchased. (I tried to purchase 1/2 hour and minimum displayed was $2.25 ,included was .25 fee using debit/credit card. The up and down arrows only worked going up in price and time. NOT DOWN TO DECREASE AMOUNT. WHEN you realize that and try to exit without payment...it already has your card into and charges you and prints ticket before you realize it! Feel like it's saying to you, GOTCHA .

We had a beautiful long summer weekend!

We had a beautiful long summer weekend! Hall of Fame, Omegang Brewery, ferry ride on the lake, golf. Great restaurants including Hawkeye grill, Cooley's Stone Tavernn, Mel's at 22. We stayed at a beautiful lodge (Oneida North) on the lake. Amenities included kayaks for the lake, a swimming pool, hot tub, pool house with ping pong, fuseball, air hockey.

Hall of Fame is nice but a bit crowded at times, go when it's offseason. Several nice memorabilia stores for collectors, nice servers in restaurants but they close to early other than Irish bar. Beautiful view & dinner at 1909 but it is expensive.

My husband chose this destination to visit the Baseball HOF and I did not know what to expect since I am not a baseball fan like him. I was pleasantly suprised how pretty Cooperstown is and safe and friendly. The BOF is great and I would recommend it. The town has many dining options and the lake is great for boating. I really enjoyed my visit.

The Hall of Fame Museum was outstanding.

The Hall of Fame Museum was outstanding. We also did the Railway Explorers which was very good. We shopped in town and visited many wineries. That was all very nice. The area closes up early at night, so that was disappointing. There really is not much else to do. It is an extremely rural location with picturesque views all around.

As a one-night stay it was fine.

As a one-night stay it was fine. The hotel is a drive from the downtown area so if you are looking for the charm of the town, you have to go looking for it. There is a grocery store next to the hotel which is very convenient. Room had a good microwave and fridge. Bath was a tub but with a safety bar which is good.

We were there because of my son's baseball tournament at Cooperstown Dream Park for the week. We enjoyed the quiet and the views of the lake when we walked around the motel. The employees were very friendly and helpful throughout the property. We would definitely stay here next time we have to go to Cooperstown.

Fantastic location; spacious room when traveling with two teenagers; the coupons for the Lake Front Restaurant were greatly appreciated (and it was a delicious breakfast). Fresh towels were brought to our room for our second night, which doesn't happen a lot these days at other hotels.

The room was extremely comfortable and quiet, in a slew of hotels it was the only one with silent Aircon. The location was ideal for a short walk into town, and onsite parking was handy.
