We love the little town feel and all the places to grab a bite there in the downtown area. The location is perfect for anyone who loves to be near the water. We had a lovely dinner at Skippers Fish Camp

Darien is a very small town with a very big history. Exploring the area is interesting and offers many opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities. Some quaint taverns and shops, very good restaurants And a beautiful hotel on the river… The Oaks on the river A short drive to Brunswick, St.Simons and Jekyll Islands as well as Sapelo Island A real treasure !

I like to make suggestions but cannot think of any suggested changes. Maybe this suggestion: have the hotel chain consider voicing a local desire to keep the area from being overbuilt. It was so easy to come off the highway to a couple of nice fast-food restaurants a good gas station, and the hotel there amid pretty trees. Keep it like it is.

Ate at Skipper's Fish Camp and oysters were very good.

Ate at Skipper's Fish Camp and oysters were very good. The shrimp was a little over cooked and the scallops a little under cooked. But all else was very good. Seems like a quaint little fishing village with some interesting antique and souvenir shops. Easy to get around in Darien too. Looks like a nice campground to visit also.

Darien is a picturesque and eclectic little town offering much more than what would initially be imagined when looking at it on Google Maps. With a variety of art galleries and craft stores, along with several interesting antique shops, you could spend an entire afternoon just browsing through the local art scene. The restaurant and food offerings are also very abundant for the size of the town. With a 3-day stay we only were able to get to about half of the places we wanted to check out. Skippers Fish Camp and the Shanty Café were two of the locations we would highly recommend. Also the Fort King George state historic site is a unique experience for history buffs, but do remember to bring bug spay if you plan on visiting during the summer.

The staff of this hotel were just awesome.

The staff of this hotel were just awesome. Always greetings with smiles. Always ready to help if needed. The manager himself helped my 12 year old grandson get his game system up and running. The Hotel was clean, everything worked properly but again I go back to the staff. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and I tend to judge them by the staff. I can tell you this staff are pleasant and helpful and go out of their way to help you and make your stay pleasant and comfortable. I have nothing but kudos to give them. I can still see the smiles on their faces greeting us each morning. Just great folks and excellent place to stay.

Very new, clean and comfortable. Views of the river were gorgeous. Staff was attentive and polite. Staff was plentiful. Nice, upscale touches like a roomy, luxurious shower and turndown service. On-site restaurant and bar. Very nice pool overlooking the river. Darien is a cute little town and this hotel is located right in the middle of it. Not too far off I-95.

This property is very well managed. The hotel and room was nicely furnished and very clean. The Manager was great. He was friendly and very helpful. Whenever we are in the area, we will try to include this stop on Rt I95. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was basic fare. I just had the waffle, glasses of juice, milk, and coffee and a yogurt. This hotel is substantially more affordable than most locations along I-95.
