We really enjoyed our stay with Sandra at Sunstar bed and breakfast. She contacted us early and shared all the important details with us. She was very hospitable and her breakfast was the absolute hammer with a large selection. The rooms as well as the restrooms were clean and very well equipped. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I stayed at Merrill Field Inn for one night on our way back home to Australia after 2 two weeks holidaying in Alaska. Our room was very spacious, had a kitchenette, and compared with other hotels we'd stayed at in Alaska, excellent value. We were picked up in their FREE shuttle van service within 15 minutes of phoning them from the airport. After throwing down our bags, we went to dinner at the Chinese restaurant conveniently located right next door to the Inn. It was so nice to have a good spicy Asian meal after having fairly bland European-type food for 2 weeks. Next day, we had delicious FREE breakfast at the Inn. After breakfast, the Inn co-owner(?) Anthony took us downtown where we did the "trolley" (bus) tour of the city (which was very informative) and watched the Northern Lights film at the theatre near the drop-off point. After a call to the Inn, we were promptly picked up by Anthony and shuttled to the airport. The complimentary shuttle service made our stay at Merrill Inn excellent value and enabled us to see Anchorage's attractions within the limited time we had. The staff are friendly and informative.
