Quaint and quiet town.

Quaint and quiet town. There are several cute shops to check out and local restaurants. We also went to the Herringbone for drinks/apps and then to a little restaurant on Broad Street. After dinner we went to an Edenton Steamers baseball game. All around a great, quick little getaway.

Edenton is an amazing historic town.

Edenton is an amazing historic town. Homes are from the 1700’s and 1800’s and early 1900’s. I have never seen a town with so many beautiful old homes. The landscaping was so pretty at most of the homes. Very quiet town. Town has an amazing history. Learned that 51 women stood up against King George and signed a document against excessive taxation. They had their own tea-party. Lots of nice shops and restaurants. Most shops and restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday. Entire town is very walkable.

Edenton is a very historical place full of life and beautiful buildings, houses, and scenery. Great places to eat and convenient to shopping. I had the most amazing club at a sandwich shop located downtown called Downtown roots. Definitely will eat there again.

A perfect town with extremely friendly residents.

A perfect town with extremely friendly residents. There is a lot to learn here about the history of the earliest Civilized Capital of North Carolina. The oldest known house is here. The oldest courthouse. The first real Port for trading and a beautiful cotton mill turned Condominiums. It's a very small town but a must see.

It is a hidden gem.

It is a hidden gem. A beautiful historic town filled with a lot of history. Gorgeous homes that have been restored. Any history buff especially would love visiting, but it's for anyone. I cannot say enough about the residents. Everyone is so friendly!

WE enjoyed the historical side.. went to plantations and houses. walked neighborhoods a bit to look at architecture..we stayed three days.. i think we did Edenton for 2 days.. stayed at hour hotel but the 3rd day took like a loop to the inner banks. there is a nice christmas store there... beautiful ride. nice beaches! edenton is definately a quiet relaxed vacation place..for adults... especially older.. but next time we will stay at a airb&b or hotel at the inner banks or outer banks, beach side... nicer restaurants there... go to the visitor center there on the way to the inner banks...and you will see the million things to do.. be careful in the ocean there.. strong waves, rip tides. but nice place to go with kids because more things to do.
