The hotel appeared new and is very clean. We had a fast, friendly and easy check in. Our room was outfitted with everything we could want, a comfy bed, mini ‘fridge, microwave, writing desk, television and Neutrogena bath amenities. Our room was quiet and the temperature easily controlled. Breakfast was from 6-10 am and contained many choices including healthy and otherwise. I would return without a doubt when in Franklin NC.

Recently refabbed rooms meant everything was functional if a bit worn. No carpet on the floors is always a good thing. Fresh paint made the interior more inviting. T.v., fridge and microwave all were in working order. The beds were comfortable and slept well. Great insulation between the rooms. Staff was friendly and responsive to our needs.

This is such a cute, well kept hotel. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evening and visiting with other guest. Great location for us. We were getting on the Blue Ridge parkway the next day. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to NC.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful old house, period antiques, clean, comfortable, friendly and inviting atmosphere, super friendly and accommodating host, amazing delicious breakfast choices, and comfy common rooms to mingle and talk with other guests. Also, an easy walk to town and restaurants.

    Beautiful area, easily walkable downtown with many local boutique shops and wide choices of dining, from diners to more formal French and Italian style restaurants. Also excellent Thai! Lots to do, beautiful scenery, hiking trails, waterfalls, gem mining, etc.

    Franklin is charming and attractive with lots of good food...

    Franklin is charming and attractive with lots of good food options. The downtown is wonderful and engaging with a real bookstore and interesting museums. Local drivers are patient and considerate with the out of towers. We found excellent breakfast and lunch at Ms. Lois's Restaurant.

    Town has a swimming pool, a group of senior tennis players who play 3 times a week + Saturday. Like going to tennis camp. A music event every weekend and a wonderful Sunday school class at 1st Methodist church.

    Franklin is sort of a gateway to the mountains of western North Carolina and it is easy to find something in nature to explore from here. Whether you are looking for white water rafting, kayaking or canoeing, hiking, biking or just relaxing Franklin is a great point to begin your adventure. It is near Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA so it is a great getaway weekend destination for people in those markets. I live in north Georgia so it is a great easy get away even for a day trip.

    The Smokey Mountain Performance Theater provides a great weekend getaway with great programs at a reasonable price. Franklin provides a great base for exploring the mountain areas like the Highlands or Bryson City, Cherokee, Dillard, or even up to Gatlinburg.

    So much to see and experience!

    So much to see and experience! History, crafts, awesome shops to browse and buy (the frozen yogurt shop was one of my favorites), beautiful waterfalls to visit in the area, a really great park (FROG: Friends of the Greenway) that we picnicked and walked along the Little Tennessee River. So much more!

    No breakfast but that was not the problem. The web site stated the property was a 3 star but was at best was a 1 1/2. The only reason we stayed was we were tired and Franklin didn’t offer much in the way of accommodations. The manager was, however, a nice guy and was really trying to improve the facility.
