Marion is a pretty eventful town.
Marion is a pretty eventful town. There are plenty of things to do in the area, and definitely no shortage of restaurants. I stayed at the Drury Inn, and had a rather nice experience there. There was a slew of restaurants right in the immediate vicinity. I ate at the Applebee's across the way. Very good food, and friendly staff!

Thank God for Marion as my son went to SIU for 4 years With the exception of one hotel in Carbondale the rest truly suck.
Marion creates the perfect place for students parents to stay especially during graduation. Clean city with plenty of restaurant options, not to forget about the clean hotels Marion has.

we were happy with all of the dining options near our hotel.
we were happy with all of the dining options near our hotel. the macalestars was excellent! the one thing about marion that we didn't like was the onramp to the highway was blocked with no detour sign to show us how to get on.

The room was comfortably large and there were plenty of restaurant options available in the area. The breakfast offerings at this hotel were lacking though and we had to leave the hotel for better breakfast options.

My room was lovely and at a great price.
My room was lovely and at a great price. After a long 8 hour drive, relaxing in this room was wonderful. I also slept very well. I wasn't looking for fancy. I wanted a clean room, with room amenities, a free breakfast in a safe location. That is exactly what I got, and at a great price.

Very dirty.
Very dirty. Took too long to check in, the clerk gave us three room keys before getting our room we booked online. Other reviews said how clean the rooms, not true. The whole place needs attention. The clerk needs training. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere clean.
