    Media is a great town.

    Media is a great town. State Street has lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Media is also a great walking town. I enjoyed walking the back streets every morning before breakfast. I bought a T-shirt at the police station “Media. Everyone’s hometown”. It just feels nice. And most people would say “hi” when I passed them.

    Loved the bed!! Had a Great nights sleep.

    Loved the bed!! Had a Great nights sleep. Pillow was great also... Did not think to highly of the NO COFFEE policy. That Stinks. There was none available at the office either. We had breakfast at the ROOSTER RESTAURANT. Girls were friendly and great service. We bought our morning coffee there.

    Media is a quaint town with history.

    Media is a quaint town with history. There are lots of interesting restaurants and sights for shopping, walking. We loved the Italian Restaurant called Adriano on Olive street. There is a shop on State Street called Earth and State that features local pottery and art. Of course, there is WaWa for local convenience and coffee.

    Our room was absolutely filthy.

    Our room was absolutely filthy. White top covers on both beds were super dirty so i imagine the sheets couldnt be clean. The carpet was soooo stained and filthy... And to top it off there were roaches crawling on the wall and dresser smh!!!! The hallway had a cart with dirty linen, trash, and dishes all mixed in with the toiletries that go in your room... Mind you we didnt check in till 11pm so the cleaning staff was long gone. If they even have cleaning staff as nasty as it was...ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! WE DID NOT STAY, WE GOT A REFUND

    This is a beautiful area - the Inn is conveniently located...

    This is a beautiful area - the Inn is conveniently located within a short drive to so many wonderful restaurants and other shops. Only a 30 minute drive Longwood Gardens and not far from Ridley Creek and so many other local parks and attractions such as Brandwine Valley and easy to drive to Philadelphia. Very close to shopping and major roads.

    Media is a lovely city as I am very fond of old buildings, and diverse architecture. Meter parking isn't too expensive, thus one can wander around the downtown; numerous stores and eateries. Lunch at Brick and Brew was good, great brisket on a bun, loved the tables and general decor and music. Enjoyed dinner at Fellini's Cafe, I would recommend the Mahi Mahi dish. Loved our waiter who had the cutest Italian accent.

    Wonderful welcome from Z to this amazing house. We loved the Renaissance Revival room with its own balcony. The breakfasts were really special with a different cooked dish every morning. Monika and Z made us feel relaxed and at home. The Gifford-Risley is conveniently located within walking distance of the small town of Media which has many shops and restaurants. Trains from the station run into Philadelphia regularly and there are also trolley buses.

    The hotel is typical Hampton Inn chain hotel. Rooms are clean and there is plenty of room for 4 people. Comparing to other hotels from same chain, I would say the staff were even more nice and friendly than usual. There is plenty of parking spaces and the location of the hotel is great. The town of Media is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, friendly and safe and you are quite near Philadelphia.

    New, clean, well maintained hotel, grounds and rooms. The breakfast was on par with other hotels at this price point. Waffles, breads, juice, coffee, oatmeal and fruits.
