i’ve lived in Paintsville, Johnson County most my whole lifeZ Moved to Ohio the last 10 years. came in for a Highschool friends funeral and stayed at Days Inn for 4 days. Though u better get in there early if u want breakfast and if u think u will need extra towel ask while house keeping is around. but overall, Makes u see Paintsville a lil different from this side. cops were there twice that we saw for some reason.

We went to Jenny Wiley State Park. It was disappointing.
We went to Jenny Wiley State Park. It was disappointing. The gift shop was very small. The drive and view of the lake was beautiful, but if you don't have a boat, there is not much to do at Jenny Wiley.
We also went to Butcher Holler to see the homeplace of Loretta Lynn. I would recommend this to anyone. It was well worth the $5 fee to take the tour. Be sure to stop at the Webb store!

Paintsville is a town of only 7,000 people but has more amenties then towns of 50,000+ in my area. Kentucky is in the Bible Belt so there are limited options on Sunday, but everything is available on all other days. Since it's located in the Appalachian Mountains, there is town-after-town to visit in the area. It was a fun trip and we look forward to visiting Paintsville a lot more in the future!

Paintsville is a nice town with lots of places to eat and your normal local shopping, Walmart, Lowes, etc. Personally due to handicap needs would pick a different hotel (stayed at Days Inn) next time.

The hotel is very nice.. however when we were there there was a group of kids jumping in and out of pool, jumping over our heads. We patiently waited for the hot tub everytime we were headed to get in multiple kids in and out. The pool experience was awful. They then began to run up and down hallway being loud and at one point knocking on our door while we were trying to sleep.

Loved this property! It's centrally located between Paintsville and Prestonsburg. The house is large and has shared space and space for privacy. The house is stocked with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. It's at an intersection so there is some road noise but it is only momentary. We will use this property for all returned trips to the area.

The clerk who checked us in was wonderful and polite. He was patient and very helpful. The inside of the hotel was beautiful, but felt cold and uninviting.
