Rome's downtown was gutted by urban renewal decades ago and has been making a comeback, largely due to the beautiful Capitol Theater, although a tornado in 2024 didn't help. Plenty to see if you're interested in history and historic buildings. Lots of good restaurants in or near downtown. When I saw the outside of the place I was oh man I think this place is going to be bad. But we were surprisingly surprised with the room it was clean and decent. Not a 4 or 5 star by any means but for the price it was very good.Guest review bytonilynUnited States

We had 45 teenagers running around the hotel playing hockey in hallways. Parents drinking heavily and unconcerned about their children. Hotel staff said the owner of hotel allows this behavior.
