We loved that the room faced Lake Huron. We were right next-door to our friends and it was very convenient. The breakfast was exceptional. If I am ever back in that area again, I will definitely stay there. We visited Mina Island. Our motel made our trip very enjoyable.

We took a shuttle from the hotel to the port for a ferry to Mackinac Island and back to the hotel when it was finished. We only saw the town as we rode through but went back to a Jamaican restaurant for dinner. It would be fun to spend more time here to visit more of the town and what sites they might hold.

Great town for the Mackinaw area, away from the congestion of Mac. City. Downtown is growing and becoming more tourist friendly. Perfect base for UP adventures. Good places to eat is the Driftwood and Gangplank. Tourist trapped is the Mystery spot. Event parking is a little tight but if no events then plenty of room to spare for parking.

St. Ignace is a chill and relaxing place to stay.

St. Ignace is a chill and relaxing place to stay. It is close enough for day trips to Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls. We also crossed the bridge to visit Fort Michilimacinac and to shop. The Ojibwa Museum is also a must to visit and shop. Local restaurants and chain restaurants are available for different needs. We love the Macinac Grill but had our dog this time so had to pass it up.

    Friendly restaurant....

Friendly restaurant....Shout out to B.C Pizza, it was a bit after their closing time but we were hungry after the BNL Concert, so we stopped in not realizing they were closed....the oven was still running ans they hadn't taken the line down yet. They made us the BEST pizza we had ever had...now that's Northern hospitality at it's finest!!!

Ate at the Driftwood Restaurant and the burgers were amazing! Went to the casino also and come out a little ahead. Stores all seem to all have the same identical things in them. Little disappointing. Was the same in Mackinaw City too though.

Mostly disappointed in restaurants, we made most of time there rather than things that weren't right so we could not regret our very few vacations. We had each other's company and even after 52 years of marriage is the best part of our days, vacation or not

We had a very large room. It was on the second floor and there are no elevators. So stairs can be a problem. Good selection for breakfast. Location excellent. We did take the ferry to Mackinaw Island and there is a shuttle from the hotel to the ferry. We did not take advantage of this but might be helpful to others. We were travelling by car and the hotel is close to the ferry.
