My wife became ill the day before our departure, so I called the hotel and spoke to the Manager on duty. I was told she could not help me and recommended I call booking.com. I called and they advised me to make my request online, so they could get involved. I did; they didn't. I was left holding the bag, but I was not too upset since I purchased travel insurance and thought I would be able to get my money refunded. I'm holding on line waiting to talk to a real person after going through 1 person and 2 AI's, one of which was rude! Rude computers do not foretell a great future for customer service! Still holding...

Public House and Saint James winery are wonderful.
Public House and Saint James winery are wonderful. The Jitter Bean and Sybill’s are top notch. Leatherwood cigar shop was high end elegant while SJ Nature Shop was down to earth. Successful shopping at both! We left SJ Nature Shop with more freshly gained knowledge than a course at Missouri S&T! Don’t miss this hidden gem! One of the best things about St. James are the people who live there. What a relaxed and welcoming community!

Wonderful place. Everything except noted below. Nice park next door. Lots of space. Near Merrimac Springs Park for trout fishing. Nice that no added cleaning fees or else it would be hard to compete with hotel.

This hotel is very clean, the front desk area and lobby areas smelled so good. We didn't eat breakfast there. Love the body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the bathtub on the wall.
