If you like being near the ocean, hiking and or camping San...
If you like being near the ocean, hiking and or camping San Simeon is a worthy location. San Simeon does not have a night life (No Live entertainment). I would recommend San Simeon to anyone that would like to chill in a artesian environment.

We always stay in San Simeon when coming to the coast.
We always stay in San Simeon when coming to the coast. It’s more relaxed with way less people. We enjoy the quiet less crowded beaches. It’s just a short drive to Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. There are a few restaurants to choose from located right there next to every place to stay. There are 2 very small grocery stores/mini marts to grab a snack or something that you might have forgotten. There really isn’t anywhere to souvenir shop. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere and relaxed vibes in San Simeon.

We Alway check out what's happening at the elephant seal rockery nearby! Then a sweet little town, Cayucos is just a few minutes away, it has several great places to eat. There's even a Great chocolate shop with yummy ice cream next to a good fish n chips cafe. and then there's the peer to walk out on!

San Simeon is a great place to visit.
San Simeon is a great place to visit. You are within five minutes of downtown Cambria which has lots of great places to shop and eat. San Simeon itself has the seals, Hearst Castle, and lots of places to buy a lunch and picnic outside if the weather is good.

We were greeted by Ed when we arrived and he made our check...
We were greeted by Ed when we arrived and he made our check in easy and pleasant. the cookies offered at check in with coffee and hot tea hit the spot. our rooms were comfortable and the hot breakfast was a great selection. We also enjoyed we had a few spots availble to enjoy playing board games and having breakfast. we enjoyed the firepit area very much. Thank you for making our family stay so enjoyable.

We were staying in the hotel on our way from L.A. to San Francisco.
We came quite late, but were welcomed very well. The room is really spacious, we felt really comfortable. Our room also had a really big bathtub. After a long day of driving it was really nice to use it.
The brekfast was excellent. The potatoes were especially good. Hotel has a little problem of fitting all the guests in the breakfast room at a time, but we shared a table with a nice couple and also had a good chat that way :)

We were personally welcomed by the friendly owners. The manager Jo was also very friendly and helpful. We loved the indoor pool that is shielded from the cold wind and the big tables for having breakfast and playing games or building puzzles. Breakfast was a surprise as it is not advertised as being included. Excellent location near restaurants and visiting Hearst Castle.

The location was great, the staff were wonderful. If you want to be one of the first to get to Hearst Castle in the morning, Cavalier Oceanfront Resort is a great place to stay. Beds were comfortable, and rooms were spacious.

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Great hotel close to the coast. I could hear the sea from my room at night. Visited Hearst Castle 5 minutes away,
and other coastal sports. I would recommend at stay here.

Location is super if you traveling by sea side in California. Few miles away from hotel we visit view point seal elephants. It was amazing!
