Perfect place to visit for Wild West history buffs or nature lovers. We stayed 2 days in Silver City before staying in the Gila Wilderness. We enjoyed learning about the history of the town and exploring the unique sites such as Big Ditch park. Fun and artsy town and worth spending time in

I loved meeting a lot of people and all were very nice.

I loved meeting a lot of people and all were very nice. Roxy's was great both times we ate there, Service very nice. Food delicious. I can't remember one we visited but it was across the street, and I loved the food. Olive Restaurant in Mimbres was great and the drive spectacular. Views of the mountains wonderful! There were times we got turned around in Silver, it was our second visit, and we had trouble reading the street signs, they were too small in places

Great destination for 2-3 nights if you are a hiker or outdoor enthusiast. Historic downtown has several very good restaurants but is missing a wine bar and a couple more lunch options. Toad Brewery and Jalisco Mexican food were good, and there’s a French restaurant that looks good as well. The town has a very chill, laid-back vibe similar to nearby Bisbee, AZ. Lots of arts and antiques for shoppers.

Founded as a mining town, today the main attraction is its proximity to the Gila National Forest, the Gila Cliff Dwellings Natinal Monument and the Whitewater Canyon Recreation Area and its Catwalk accessible trail. Hiking the Gila Mountains is the major other attraction, but there are a number of historic sites in the surrounding area, too. The town of ~9,000 is principally a college town with some historic sites and areas. It's worth a stop if you're touring the Southwest, but isn't a destination vacation spot in itself. Recommended Restaurants: Q's Southern Bistro, the Buckhorn, Little Toad Brewery & Distillery.

We live about 2 1/2 hrs from Silver City, so go there several times a year. Usually a day trip, this was the first weekend stay. Shops to wander through, The Hub has some nice little places (The Mint Ice Cream shop), Adobe Springs has good food but a long wait. Good walking around place, museums to visit, home of Western NM U, lots of murals on buildings. Worth the visit for sure.

Silver City has a lo of history attached to the city.

Silver City has a lo of history attached to the city. Since the mines closed down, the city came upon hard times. The architecture in the city has been left untouched which makes it ideal to see what Victorian cities looked like back in the 1880's.

Nicely decorated room. I booked this hotel because it advertised free wireless high-speed Internet access. At first we were placed in room 110, but there was no internet access. Then, they moved us to 104. The bed was comfortable, The room was clean. The internet was useless. The location is nice if you are going to be at the Gila National Park when it opens in the morning. Did I mention how bad the internet was? There is plenty of parking and many nearby restaurants. Worthless internet.

We travel to Silver City yearly for a gem and mineral show and have stayed at the Copper Manor for at least five years. They have upgraded their rooms which look really nice and show pride of ownership. We appreciated it greatly.
