Plenty of places to choose from for shopping, eating out or hitting happy hour. Home depot, Lowes, Walmart, Sams Club, Kohls, Target, TJ Max, Cinemax movie theater and a bowling alley. I booked and paid for a room with 2 queen beds. What I got was a room with one queen bed and one chair (not a sofa). When I checked with the front desk, she assured me the chair in 426 folded into a bed. Believe me when I say it did not transform into a bed. I'm there for work, so I'm not really reviewing the "tourist attractions". Wichita Falls is a small city in north Texas. The downtown is on its way to becoming quite a gem, and there are some killer antique shops. Otherwise Wichita Falls is one of those places you stay on your way through to somewhere else. Nothing bad, but aside from the downtown, nothing exciting either. A few more decent gas stations near the exits would be a major plus. Getting around town is complicated and it's got business areas strung out a bit everywhere. There's also an " Air Force neighborhood" on the northern edge. The university (MSU) area is nice. The Steak Restaurant is excellent too. We really enjoyed the tomahawk ribeye and onion rings. The Ranch Water, and Smoked Old Fashions were great too.
