    Although there is road construction within the premises of the hotel property, I drove in to the local town to eat. There were a lot of unique and interesting places. I am a pizza "snob" and found "Moon Dog Brick Oven" to satisfy my tastes; I ordered a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza that was very tasty and reasonably priced. I also walked along the main drag and found an ice cream place ("Frozen in Time") that served Hershey's Ice Cream (a favorite of mine). The locals were very friendly, and the town was very picturesque.

    We were just passing through on an overnight stay, but it appeared to be a lovely small town and area with lots of history and outdoor activities to explore. We loved dinner at the Log House 1776 restaurant.

    I was traveling by motorcycle and the scenery and roads were beautiful. I even visited the local Harley Davidson dealership and they were full of advice of where to travel and what accessories I should consider for my bike.

    I ate at two restaurants during my stay and both were nice and reasonably priced for what I ate. Realistically, though I stay in Wytheville only because it's the perfect place to stay on my trip to Myrtle beach. About half way there from my home in the Cleveland area.

    I warmly recommend this place!

    I warmly recommend this place! I liked almost everything: extremely kind stuff, beautiful location and design, a very big room, extremely comfortable bed and pillows, clean room, clean toilet and sink, everything you need into the room. The single thing we didn't like it was the dirty bathtub.

    This was the WORST hotel experience in all aspects!

    This was the WORST hotel experience in all aspects! Starting with a unwelcoming attitude by the front desk & a rather disgusting room followed by no effort to accommodate my request for another room!!! The room smelled musty and felt extremely humid. Hence the reason why the air conditioner was on full blast upon entering the room. . . . The front desk clerk (Jeff Black) seemed annoyed and just said the room smelled like "old lysol" to him. He tried to dismiss us by claiming the hotel was at full capacity to accommodate for any room changes! I could go further with more details but I hope this person receives some major training in customer service & relations. Fairfield, you lost my trust for any future bookings!

    It was a reasonable bed for our in-transit journey. The fridge is handy, the microwave is handy, the dog pen is a bonus. The rooms in general Are very tired and the bathrooms are becoming increasingly unpleasing and need a reno. I have used this hotel now 4x a year (except during COVID) for 7 years. The price is commensurate with the quality though so I didn’t expect anything more anyways. It is time to move on from this location for my future trips due to how tired it is now.

    Great location just off the Interstate. The room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. We had some issues with the toliet not flushing properly. Wifi and free parking were good. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel even though it was provided. We went next door to the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Good stop for one night on our way home from Florida.
