United KingdomThe property was very strange but very nice. It’s almost as if the village IS the hotel.
My girlfriend wanted to stay at M-Gallery (which was stunning), but it was out of my budget. This seemed to be the next best thing and so I opted for this and I’m glad I did.
Both M-Gallery and this place are in the centre of Yen Tu, which is essentially just a street. They kind of occupy different sides of it.
Booking here you can still go and eat at M-Gallery, walk around it, and enjoy it but you don’t have to pay for the room. The room here was half the price and adequate for our needs.
In fact, it’s probably better located and we loved the little balcony out back which overlooked a little stream. Lovely and peaceful and was great to have the couple of days that it rained as we could sit out there and just enjoy watching the rainfall.
Yen Tu itself is lovely. Kind of like Hoi An in some ways. Not much to do so 3 days is enough but the people were all lovely, the food in the restaurant was very good and very reasonably priced - especially compared to M-Gallery which was expensive and not that great (as we ate there one night). No TV in the room is the only thing that could be some to improve the room. But that’s a very minor grumble and I doubt I’d have used it anyway.
